Genius Hotel Downtown Reviews

Excellent hotel. Modern room, on the small side but clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Location is the best thing as it is in walking distance of the Duomo and all central attractions. The only negative was that there were no hot drink making facilities in the room.

My single room was small and not at all fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. The common areas and exterior for the downtown Milan location do not match the photos on this website--the real thing is actually nicer than what is pictured. The current photos must be from another location. We found the staff helpful and we loved a few of the details like free refills on sparkling water in the lobby.

The location was really nice in the middle of the city between the castle and the duomo. Breakfast is crazy expensive, but there is enough places to get breakfast nearby. There was a lot of noise from the elevator which was very annoying especially at night but also the hallways were very loud. The beds were nice and the hotel has a modern look to it. The badroom especially the shower sink, needs a thorough cleaning, every time they just put a towel on there but it does not help a lot with the smell.

This hotel has very convenient location in walking distance to the major attractions, Duomo, Sforzesco Castle, shopping, etc. Easy transportation, train and Metro also close by. Small rooms. Good for a couple of days.

Perfect location - 5 mins walk to Metro and Hop on Hop off bus So easy to find and in a very quiet side street. There are a number of very good family restaurants very close as well as the bigger ones on Via Dante Perfectly clean with a very good shower and comfy bed Pleasant staff who are friendly and helpful Breakfast is excellent

This Hotel was wonderful. The location was excellent and the staff was fantastic. It was easy to walk everywhere. The castle, cathedral, and tons of shopping. The breakfast buffet was excellent and gave us a great start in the morning. Made for a great stay in Milan.

The bathroom is dated and needs renovation. The sinks are blocked and the drains create a lingering smell. Otherwise everything else was great

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Very friendly staff, perfect location (10 min walk to Duomo, Brera of other nice places), clean room and great breakfast. I could check in earlier than expected and store my luggage on the departure day. Can highly recommend!

Small and charming boutique hotel, The rooms are not big but spacious and clean , Reasonable price for the area ,the hotel staff are charming, especially Sofia, good breakfast. The hotel is on a quiet street but right in the center of things, up to 10 minutes walk from the Duomo and most of the main attractions. There is a metro and an electric train right next to the hotel.

We were surprised with how good it was! The front desk was very helpful when we checked in, and we never had any problems during the four days we stayed here. A special compliment to the breakfast staff! Susanna who made cappuccino and omelette every morning was superb! Always happy and friendly and a very good cook! The breakfast in general was above expectations with hot and cold food and fresh fruit every morning.
