Hotel Studio Inn Centrale & Milano Urban Padel Reviews

Clean, quiet rooms. Hotel is very secure. Also near a Tigros Supermarket, an Italian Post Office (essential for sending post cards!), and a couple of good cafes, one of which opens up VERY early (I had an espresso once at 5:40am, and they clearly had been open for a while already). Staff are very service-oriented and helpful. Housekeeping cleaned my room to a spotless standard. Location is fairly convenient - a quick walk or cab ride to either Sondrio station (my preferred Metro station), or Centrale Station. I highly recommend a stay here - it's an overall excellent value!

What a lovely experience! During our Honeymoon-Roadtrip in Italy we spent a night at this hotel. We have never experienced such a warm welcome from all the staff. The communication was already very easy beforehand. We actually only asked for a room with a double bed to make sure not to get two single beds. In the end we got a lovely room, very clean with plenty of space and a wonderful little surprise on our bed. We have never expected that from a city hotel where you only stay for one night (unfortunately). Everyone was so nice and helpful that we really felt comfortable from the first minute on. Also to mention: parking was very easy, which isn’t always the case in a city like Milano. Thank you so much. We will be back!

The good: It is a very nice hotel and pleasant to look at. Nicely decorated. The breakfast is good, but a little fair. The room was good, with a view of a very nice internal patio, and the bathroom was of good size. The not so good: it is far from the center, 1 hour walking but 30 minutes by public transport. I do not recommend arriving at night, there is nothing open in the surrounding area, it is a common neighborhood with buildings and the hotel is half hidden.

We had 2 rooms, we arrived late after the show at the staircase. They had no room service. The reception is far away from the street, we had to drag our bags to the street/parking lot and no one helped us carry them to the room. My daughter's room was full of ants. A structure that truly does not deserve 4 stars.

You have to walk 10 minutes to catch any public transportation. However, there is a shared bicycle parking lot provided by BikeMi 1 minute behind the hotel, so it is good to rent a bicycle and ride. The accommodation is generally quiet and the staff are friendly. I didn't feel any discomfort during my few days of stay. Breakfast starts at 7 o'clock, and there is a staff member in the restaurant who kindly asks what kind of coffee you want to drink and serves it to you. I stayed for 5 days and had a good rest. I am satisfied.

The structure is very clean and tidy, just a little complicated to find. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need for cleaning and rest, including the safe and minibar, apart from the pillow which has practically no thickness. I used the duvet as a second pillow. Very basic breakfast, with no great choices, but there is a basis for making it. It would get boring after a few days as it never changes. The coffee is very good, truly of quality. Well done! Another positive note to the staff, whose names I do not remember exactly apart from Salvatore and a girl who was often present in the morning, but all very kind and available for everything! Why did I put 4 dots and not 5? I'll explain it to you right away: Next to and below the structure there is a large and convenient supermarket, which is why, when it happens, the staff of the supermarket also works there at night. So it could happen "like me on the first night" to hear the trolleys walking even until 2 am or from 6 am. Situation that I would say rather unacceptable! It is almost impossible to sleep! If the next day I had not been offered a room change, much farther from the supermarket I would have given 1 dot, because rest at night makes up 50% of the stay. This is the only negative note. The hotel is very nice and clean and the staff is very kind. Furthermore, the proximity to the central station and the lilac metro make it a perfect base for visiting the city. It will certainly become our point of reference for stays in Milan!
