Hampton Inn & Suites Minneapolis/Downtown Reviews

We’ve had two stays here, one in August 2022 and one just in November 2022. First stay was great we had everything we needed in the room, we called for extra pillows for sofa bed and they brought them right up. Was clean, safe and right near event venues. Second stay we had a smelly room, only two bath towels, no hand towels no wash clothes, no hand soap. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the room so we didn’t complain but it would have been nice to see consistency in the stays. It’s a great location for attending games, concerts, etc… would give another shot just make sure we address the room concerns right away.

A hotel in the city center, and a brand chain, must be good! A good choice for business travel.

The room is very clean, there is no odor, the overall facilities are quite new, the bed is very comfortable, there are many restaurants around, it is convenient to check in, the surrounding environment of the hotel is relatively safe, recommended to stay

Great, great, stayed here twice. I will go to this restaurant every time. It is very close to the university and it is very convenient to order takeaway from the surrounding area. The hotel is very clean, the environment is nice, and the girl at the front desk is also very friendly.

This hotel is connected to the Orpheum theatre by a skywalk which is why we booked here. Very safe and super convenient.

Stayed when we attended a musical at the Orpheum. Parked in the ramp and walked to Hampton through the skywalk - super easy. Walked the skywalk to the theater - again, super easy. Staff at hotel was friendly and helpful. They gave us a parking voucher, which was charged to our room and cheaper than paying the event pricing at the ramp. Good breakfast, comfortable room. Would definitely stay here again.

It was just inconvenient for parking and access and annoyed that you have to pay for parking. But it was lean and nice. Wish they had a restaurant in the building. Cold to walk anywhere.

Housekeeping opened our door multiple times without announcing themselves. It continued to happen even after calling the front desk and being assured the issue wouldn’t happen again.

Clean rooms and hotel. Nice staff. Only a block away from the venues. Parking is off site but connected to hotel via skywalk. Have stayed at this hotel several times.

Nice, clean room and big bathroom. Elevator operation required use of room key. Good breakfast options

We used the parking garage across from the hotel. We used the indoor walkway to get to the hotel and to the event we were attending. It was very convenient. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beware of their sneaky parking charges. They advertise $12 a day on ******* and when you check in they tell you that they will give you a discount if you pre-pay your parking with them. I assumed they were charging the $12 per day. When I left the parking lot, I only owed $17 so I realized I had overpaid but then when I got home and saw my email, I saw that they had actually charged me $20/day for a total of $41.66! This was $24.66 more than I would have been charged without their interference. When I called to complain they were willing to refund only $16 to honour the original $12 they advertised. That was a huge disappoin**ent considering other hotels try to save you money on parking. Otherwise our stay was nice.

We stayed here as we wanted something close and within walking distance in the skyway to Target Center. We had a 9 year old with us and felt safe walking to and from the Timberwolves game. Would definitely stay here again! Felt very safe with the elevator and the card key required to be used.
