Worst experience ever! Such a beautiful location with so much potential but the service was terrible. We had to wait 2.5 hours for our food and when it arrived the food tasted sour and old. The guy working there was nowhere to be found and when he came with the rest of the food I pointed out that my food tasted old and he took the plate and threw it away. He then he rudely proceeded to tell me that I should have said something from the beginning and that he couldn’t do anything about it. He really started to argue with me about my food and was mumbling and talking to us with his back against us. The rest of the food was not appetizing at all and the smoothie made from “fruit” tasted like chemicals and separated after 5 minutes. When we were going to pay he kept being rude almost like it was our fault that we had to wait. When we asked for some sort of compensation he told us to stop being complicated and didn’t want to acknowledge that our service was bad and kept blaming his boss that wasn’t even there. In conclusion, beautiful place for sunset but please don’t order any food. Two of us who ordered ceviche had really bad stomachs the day after…

If you’re in Santa Teresa this is an amazing place to see the sunset and have some good food and drink. MAX is amazing - one of the best people we have ever met - welcoming, fun and inviting. We came the first day and had such a good time we had to come back for a second. The problem with the second day Max was not at the bar to deal with us. Max was working harder than anyone else at the restaurant and we had to deal with someone else. This was not a good experience. We ended up leaving because of comments and feeling uncomfortable because of this person. This is a 5 star review despite this. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back. Max is welcome in my home any day. To the restaurant- Please find someone else besides the person we delt with to make drinks and order food. If it’s not Max we don’t want to come back because of the last situation. I understand if you don’t like your job - but we are on vacation and don’t have to deal with your problems. Max - you are an all star and family to us. Thank you for everything

View was amazing, the extra care to make us feel comfortable was really nice. Attention to cleanliness was so nice.

It's such a shame that such a lovely location can be ruined by terrible service. One of the members of our party is from Asian descent, they ordered food that never arrived. When he asked them what had happened to it, they had never processed the order and when he questioned this, the older blonde woman (we think she was the owner) launched into a tirade including the line "Do. You. Not. Speak. English?? KONNICHIWA??!!" (Japanese for hello in case you didn't know) On the other hand, maybe he was lucky not to get the food given my carbonara was (in the nicest possible way) complete and utter garbage. Nice view though.

Beautiful property, spectacular view, above the hustle and bustle of beach towns yet very close and convenient to the amazing beaches in the area. The staff makes it even better.

Great quite place to stay. We were in a separate bungalow that had a view of the ocean. Very interesting design of the room. Shower was inside and outside the bungalow. And we also had a little deck with the table to sit and watch sunset. Pool area also serves as breakfast area is very nice. A little walk up the hill. But the view is stunning. Very quite and we found a family of monkeys living right outside the hotel. We stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was very good. Cooked per order. And juice was super delicious and fresh.

NOTE: This is a review about the restaurant/pool only. I did not stay at the hotel. Came here for sunset and to use the pool. The deal was $20US that could be applied to food/drink not a bad deal EXCEPT I only had the local currency (I work/live in CR) - they wanted to charge 20K Colones which at today’s exchange is $37. And of course they do not accept credit cards. I was told that this was the owner’s policy. IMHO bad policy. You are operating a business in Costa Rica and you should not be charging people extra for using local currency. Maybe this is a deterrent to keep out the Ticans (idk) but it felt pretty crappy. If you decide to come here bring USD cash.

The views are stunning, especially at sunset. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bathroom and showers are outside, but clean. Those are the good things, but these plusses are more than offset by negatives. 1. The owning family and most of the staff are unwelcoming, to the point of hostility. Clients are treated as an undesirable visitor who is needed to hand over money 2. Meal times and drinks are only available between 730 am and 8 pm. As most tours leave earlier, we ended up not having breakfast half the time we were there. Staff are cleaning up around you from the night before when breakfast is served. 3. Every request is met with hostility - even a request to have breakfast promptly at 730 was met with hostility and not served 4. No wifi in the rooms. Only at the reception and pool area, which is closed with lights off at 8 pm 5. The road up to the resort is very steep and full of potholes. The hotel is far from town and the beach, so you need transport 6. Rooms are way overpriced for the quality of the hotel 7. Sunset view is great but marred by the teenagers who flock in each evening to drink in the pool and watch it. If that’s not your scene, stay away from this mediocre and unfriendly place

Amazing pool. Discusting food. Do not eat here what ever you do. Just swim in the pool and enjoy a cocktail or two. The food taste like nothing and I Will leave this place very hungry. Keep that in mind! We tried 6 different dishes and they all were bad.
