Hotel Kreuzlingen am Hafen

The hotel has a simple but not simple style. People who like it will naturally like it. After checking in, I even changed my itinerary and chose to stay again. The hotel reserved the same room for us, which touched us very much. Parking is super convenient!

On the surface the hotel seems nice and comfortable but that is only in appearance. It can be hot in Switzerland, even very hot (＞ 30°C) so you should know that air conditioning does not exist in Switzerland (read several times in my hotel searches...) and this one is no exception. not to the rule. There are no fans in the rooms either, so it quickly becomes an ordeal. There is an internal ventilation system but it is ineffective in high heat, so you have to open the windows to try to sleep at night... and it can be noisy (We had a room with a lake view, finally on the parking lot and the street I should say) Of course, the hotel is not responsible for external nuisances (young people who listen to music after midnight at the lake, maintains roads (mowing grass) at 7:00 a.m. morning, but it's good to know. Closed window is perfect. The bed is very low and the mattress is not very comfortable. The shower is excellent even if it is placed a little too close to the toilet. I remain doubtful about the local products which seem to come more from the local supermarket (not very good, just like the scrambled eggs and industrial fruit juices) Despite the nearby lake, it is to Contance that you will go, to take there have a drink and eat there, the hotel environment has nothing charming to offer. Advantage, parking is free.

We have stayed in this hotel for 1 to 2 nights over the last few years. But now: You have to book for four nights :-( Some guests only want to stay in this area for a weekend. The whole thing is not exactly customer friendly! There are 5 star hotels where you only have to book 2 nights. The hotel industry is shooting itself in the foot with this kind of pressure!

From the moment you arrive until you leave, only friendly people. Modern rooms, always clean. The breakfast with its many different breads and fresh, varied products was excellent. The coffee was freshly brewed from the machine.

There are still "real" single rooms here - unfortunately I only ever get this room category. The room itself is completely fine - and everything you want and need is there, it's fine. The railway line runs directly behind the hotel, which is why you have to close the window from 4:46 a.m.

Nice, clean hotel right on the German border and Lake Constance. The rooms are large and clean and the breakfast is plentiful by Swiss standards. The only thing missing is the view of Lake Constance. That is only available in the most expensive category. What a pity

You can see the desire to save energy. The room was cool.
