The location is very good. The famous eel shop is only a 1-minute walk away. There are many delicacies in Africa. The hotel offers one stay and two meals. The price is very favorable and the CP value is high. The only surprise is that the room for the three of us does not have a bathroom. Fortunately, we can go to the hot spring and take a bath. Staff are very polite and helpful

Stayed here as we needed to be at Narita Airport at 630am the next day. The area was quaint and pleasant with small shops and cafes. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, our room had no shower (only toilet). We went to the indoor public bath at the accommodation to take a shower and soak in the bath. Overall a great stay! Thanks to the reception for helping us call a taxi in the morning to the airport.

Very good, breakfast and dinner are also rich

I came back to this ryokan again after many years, and it hasn’t changed much. The room type is very large, with one room and two meals. Dinner and breakfast are all served in the room. The food is very rich, the service is attentive and courteous, and there is a public hot spring bath. Will come again!

The experience is very good

Across the street is Shinshoji Temple in front of Naritasan Gate. The scenery is very good. Omotesando is right at the door. It is very convenient for walking around and eating.

Absolutely fabulous !! The best way to start or finish your Japan trip !! Lived this Ryokan. Staff are lovely. Rooms are great. I’m keen is wonderful. Area is superb and easy to navigate and find. Really enjoyed our stay and the lovely Breakfast we had the next morning.

Historic old ryokan in Narita. Stayed before leaving Japan. So kind and friendly. Loved the Sensoji view from my room. But you could be waken up by bell sound from temple early in the morning. Ryokan itself is small but no-one was there when we used it. So it's like a private bath. We did enjoy dinner and bf. Just F.Y.I, breakfast is vegan meal. Temple is just steps away so we took a walk after dinner and morning. There are many shops that sell foods, chopsticks, gifts and etc right out side so we did some last mins shopping before heading to Narita airport.

Although the room is old, it is quite clean, but the corridor has a smell, the hot spring water is not natural, and it does not feel smooth after soaking

Nice Onsen, very nice staff members, appreciate they have free pickup service from station. Nice view overlooking Naritasan Temple.

- Musty smelling toilet - Very old fittings and room doors that don't close fully - Friendly staff but poor English overall and unobservant - Old-fashioned owner with very poor customer skills, cannot problem-solve - Bath and water mixer very hard to use as they are very old fashioned - Fridge full of cold drinks, but with no space to put anything except tiny bottles and some small items I was very surprised and unhappy with what the ryokan owner told us today - the last night of our 10-night trip across the wider Tokyo region. Some context first: my flight departs at 6.20pm tomorrow and we have to check out of our room at 10am, as planned. What was unplanned, was that I was only told at 7pm today that they would have maintenance coming so there are 'no staff' and 'the whole ryokan will be closed', so my elderly parents (78YO and 70YO) and I would have to take our 3 large luggage bags with us by 2pm. They will not be able to hold our luggage for even 2 hours until 4pm, nor will they be able to call us a taxi; we will have to walk to the taxi stand ourselves. What is funny, is that as I was negotiating with the owner in the lobby, 4 new guests arrived to check-in. Now, there is a whole hotel with numerous rooms and new guests, but he cannot (will not) hold our luggage for 2 hours more? He proceeded to tell us they 'are not responsible to us for anything once we check out' and that 'there is nothing he can do' and when I said hotels in other countries hold the luggage for their guests after they check out for the same day until the flight time, he said 'this is Japan, not other countries'. Wow. I get it that he's used to running things his way, but this makes for a horrible customer experience. We had booked this ryokan over 6 weeks ago online, so there were many opportunities to tell us in advance of this scheduled maintenance. One great opportunity was yesterday at 5.30pm, when we checked in. Side points are: - Staff are not trained on the safety equipment in the rooms. I had taken the emergency torchlight off the charging mount and instead of the staff reinserting it, I had to figure out how and tell the staff (to his credit he really tried) - Housekeeping were unaware they took my mother's personal spoon by mistake and phew! the translation issues... we got it back though - Housekeeping replaced the tolietries we clearly had no need of, but not the items we used up! Basically they gave us 3 more toothbrushes in addition to the 3 unused, but did not top up the cotton pads. It was all very clearly placed in the bathroom for them to observe. - Creepy horror movie vibes

It's so much better than I thought It's quiet and I slept soundly ^^ However, the small bathroom is a bit flawed, but I like the fact that it is kept clean.

It's about a 15 minute walk from Narita Station. It's easy going downhill, but the way back is uphill, so if you have a lot of luggage it might be a bit difficult. Overall it was good, but I was dissatisfied with the dinner. As we are avoiding face-to-face contact as much as possible to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, most of the menus are already set. (Except for the eel) Therefore, the sautéed fish was cold and not tasty. ．． ．． . I hope it improves. Other than that, the staff's response and the bathroom were very good.
