Put the fire pit in an area so we can get better view of stars. Or add a second fire pit so we can see stars.

This Route 66 feel hotel / dinner is a little gem in a beautiful but out in the middle of nowhere location. Relaxing, good food, nice interior courtyard, clean pool and jacuzzi all great experiences. The bed was really comfortable, the shower modern, and room lighting excellent.

We loved the uniqueness and charm of this property. We also liked that we didn't have to drive too far to feel like we really got away for a true change of scenery.

So many beautiful people on staff. Old -fashions and Manhattans were mixed to perfection. The Grounds work well and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

1) Arrival / Departure. Fraudulent charges billed to the credit card given. Billed expense far exceeded quoted price at check-in. Quoted $260, Billed $396 2) Credit card billed for mini bar items not consumed. No items were consumed, obvious intentional stock-take error by management / staff. 3) Locked out of room. No management onsite available to unlock room. 4) NO hot water for morning shower, resulting in a very COLD shower. Charged for services not received. Management refuses to reverse charges. You have a nice property, that is presented well, but services and customer satisfaction needs to be addressed. The excessive charges billed for services not received are fraudulent. No onsite management personnel to address issues as they arrive.

Every detail about this restored gem has been carefully thought about. It really is a beautiful and serene oasis. The staff are friendly yet never center stage. the food is delicious and considered and the bar is a gem - dark and alluring with great cocktails and wine selection. Highly recommended!

What a great find! Owned and operated by a talented Brentwood architect, who appreciated its MidCentury origin and brought it back to over-the-top hipster cool, wellness and fun. From the sauna to haute cuisine -- true -- and activties including a hike with sweet little goats, and "Sound Bathing,' the Cuyama Buckhorn Hotel is a destination in itself. A must-visit. Two hours north of LA in the beautiful Cuyama Valley.

The room was perfect. Well equipped and very comfortable. The grounds were beautifully maintained with lots of things to do. The swimming pool was a great size but my goodness it was cold! However the jacuzzi/ hot tub and sauna soon warmed me up. The food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. Definitely a great place to visit

enjoyed the stay, the restaurant, and the service. Summer was a great waitress and made us all feel very welcome. She added much to the enjoyment of the evening. The rest of the staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The staff at the Buckhorn bar, restaurant and motel are very nice and provide great service. It is a relaxing way to wind up a day exploring the Carrizo Plains. The bar has a fun atmosphere and offers an extensive selection of drinks; the dinner menu is good but somewhat limited. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed at Buckhorn not really knowing what to expect other than seeing pics online. And we were leery to drive all that way for what?? We were blown away by this place. The aesthetic is awesome with a clean, modern, hygge vibe: comfortable, approachable. They have a huge pool & hot tub, sauna, large lawn area with corn hole & bocce. There is a very communal feel to the property and everyone is really friendly. Very pet friendly too! The bar is very old saloon/country without being cheesy and their handmade farm-to-bar cocktails are fantastic. Sam The Bartender is a real character. The restaurant is darling and the food is creative and delicious. The rooms were clean, well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Loved our little patio outside the room. Their connection with the community is incredible! We can't wait to go back for a quite weekend or to see all of the wildflowers!
