Beautifully restored/maintained heritage building next to the river. An old family home the hotel has lovely antiques and quirky touches that will delight the people who want a genuine experience rather than a chain hotel. The staff were super helpful attending to all requests efficiently. The room was clean and well specified with everything working as it should. Each room has different period features and furniture with some overlooking the river. Breakfast buffet was small but delicious with items available to be cooked to order and super friendly staff. The location is perfect for exploring the lovely narrow streets of Fontainhas, the only Latin Quarter in India. The period properties range from beautifully maintained/renovated to atmospheric dilapidation. Historic old cafes and bakeries exist *****side hip new places. You shouldn't miss trying Goan Feni or Urrak in Panjims famous historic dive bar Joseph's which has great Western music and a bustling vibe especially in the evenings and weekends with authentic Goan snacks. Good Goan and Indian food abounds in the areas but you are also within easy walking distance are some diverse and quality places that are rare to find easiky. Tataki for Asian food, Route 66 for American diner and burgers, Saavaa for great cocktails in a sophisticated setting, DTR for great river views over the Old Patto Bridge and draft beer ***** with nightly live music, Bombay Coffee House Select for great coffee, smoothies and baked goods, Miski Bar, K-Bar etc etc. You are also not far from the cute parks ***** the river and for those interested - Panjims river cruises and ****** boats are all departing nearby. Don't skip Panjim whilst in Goa - it's a city Gem if you know where to look and this hotel is well placed to explore it all.

From the very appearance of the hotel from outside spread over 3 roads, visitors will have the feeling that they are seeing a famous Portuguese architecture, in the older part of Lisbon or Porto cities. The Reception desk decorated like the heritage homes of Goa and manned by unique personalities like Preeti D'Souza and others immediately give the guests a very homely feeling. Preeti took personal care in suggesting and selecting your room as per the category of your booking entitlement. She and others go out of the way to help the boarders with any need. The rooms with its unique doors and windows of the Victorian era and each of the furniture, the river and the balcony facing it need a special mention. All the attractions of Panjim or Panaji are only at a walking distance from the hotel. Given a chance I will come to this hotel again as its location is in a very good locality, views of the river are also excellent. The Food and the special milk tea are very tasty. The restaurant staffs are always ready to serve you the proper meal as per your choice and above all because of the helpful front desk staff spearheaded by Ms. D'Souza.

The Panjim Inn is located in the heart of Fontainhas. Built in the 19th Century, it has clearly been lovingly kept by its owners and retains all its charm and character Even the furniture is period, which is a nice touch. Our first hotel with a period four poster bed that's for sure! We loved staying here, and will hopefully return again some day.

Prime location in Latin quarter of Fountainhas and near market, top church& well known restaurants, rooms offering old world charm, sumptuous breakfast, courteous staff. Room tariff and food prices are a bit on higher side but justified.

The best thing about this Hotel is the Restaurant where you can get excellent food at reasonable prices. However, if you reserve a specific table, there is only a 50% chance that you will get it, according to our ecperience. The breakfast was to our entire satisfaction, too, whereas the room was not. Cleanliness and the antique furniture was certainly ok but the room itself was dark and noisy. The noise from the street lasted also during the night and the motorbikes of some reckless drivers were extremely noisy and disturbing. So for three nights we did not sleep well, mainly due to heavy traffic but also due to some strange noises stemming from other guests. So our experience with this place was rather mixed.

We recently spent 6 nights at Panjim Inn and all five family members loved our stay there. The ambience is unique. It felt as if we were staying in a beautiful private home, not an hotel. Each room is different, spacious and comfortable with vintage furniture and beautiful stone flooring. My elderly husband and I had a ground floor room and we appreciated the grab rails in the bathroom. Breakfast was enjoyable, plenty of variety and several food items cooked to order. All of the hotel staff were helpful and friendly and any request was attended to immediately. The hotel is located in the beautiful part of Panjim called Fontainhas which has a number of excellent restaurants and boutiques.Taxis are available at the entrance to the hotel. All in all a wonderful experience. A big Thankyou to all the staff at Panjim Inn!

We have wanted to visit Panjim and stay at the Panjim Inn since pre-covid days. We have to say we were very disappointed at the experience. The room, 205, was comfortable but could have done with a better clean, as too the bathroom. More worryingly the tops and threads of the supplied glass water bottles looked mouldy and dirty. A good idea to supply water like this but please keep the bottles clean. As for breakfast - awful. The real issue however was the service. It took nearly 1.5 hours for our supper of curry, rice and dahl to arrive, other diners arriving after us having eaten and left! To compound this the next day we arrived in the restaurant at lunchtime to find no staff on service. After 10 minutes we had to speak to Reception in the hope of getting such service - we suspect the staff were having their own lunch. 3 stars is probably being very generous, but reflect that we enjoyed our stay in Panjim and our sincere hope that the owners and staff will pull their fingers out and restore this hotel to the standard it deserves.

Great hotel with lots of character - very comfortable 4 poster bed with tea coffee making facilities and fridge which is essential. Had a lovely meal on the veranda and residents get 10% discount on food! (Ensure you tell the waiter before he makes out the bill) The breakfast is fabulous - masala dosa a must! Lovely setting. Hotel in very good location for panaji and fountainhas district.

Our company ‘Pillow Menu Tours’ had a client wanting us to investigate ‘WelcomHeritage Panjim Inn’ for a possible future tour through Goa and the South of India in 2024. We booked for a two night stay in this somewhat expensive hotel (close to AUD 200 per night per room inc tax and breakfast). The entire experience was difficult and tiresome and completely without service. The hotel is heritage, of Portuguese style, wonderful architecture. If you want anything at all beyond ‘architecture’, this certainly isn’t the hotel for you. A one night summary (we couldn’t stay the second night, everything was so appalling.) 1. We had booked a double room, not available on arrival even though we had confirmed whilst we were en route to the hotel. Another option (still twin room) was offered, in another less salubrious building. This selection of another room was a wasted 1/2 hour. 2. Settled in room, WiFi so slow, took so much time to fix and then, within 1/4 hour, slow again and couldn’t load apps. 3. Reception could not help with tourist activities even though they are an ITC brand, and should know. No travel desk and even less knowledge from staff. 4. Hardest mattresses ever experienced, couldn’t sleep well. 5. Hot water not working in the morning, repair person said it would work in 5 minutes, we said come to breakfast and advise when working as we were hungry, it took 1/2 hour. Not able to shower, hot water STILL not working. 6. Most Depressing breakfast we have ever seen. No brown bread, couldn’t eat anything as food was old and dry, so little food, windows open letting flies and dust in, layers of dust over everything. 7. Asked to speak with the General Manager, Mr Oswald Noronha said we wanted to leave simply because we did not get the service we had paid for. Wanted to get out. Osborne_Pimenta of Mumbai who stayed in Jan ‘23 got his/her review right. In part it was said ‘Horrible NOT Heritage Place , NO VALUE for Money , Over Hyped by Rating Sites. Absolutely Horrible and Not Worth the Price , it's supposed to be a Heritage Hotel it's a Guest House. Service at the Room also is slack at Breakfast which even at around 8:45 am the Live Counter is Not Ready and the Breakfast Menu set up is as good as Nothing people end up eating just Bread and Butter. Breakfast area is Very Dusty and Unhygenic and Not Maintained , This I would also say being a ITC managed Guest House / Heritage Inn Bad on their reputation as I have stayed at some of their Heritage propertys around India. ITC you need to watch this Property as an Indian I was offended with the Service and Hospitality imagine when Foreigners are refused Food or basic help when they need it , it spoils the Image of our Country . Money is Not Everything Appreciated , Then what's the Point of this property being a Heritage site with just Granfathers Pottery ? And Antique Furniture ? NOT RECOMMENDED ! Osborne_Pimenta had same/similar experiences as us. I am foreigner and my business partner is Indian.

The Panjim Inn has always been an iconic spot for us in the famed Fontainhas area of Panjim. So it was with much expectation that we checked in to the hotel for a night. It helped that the owner offered us special rate. The staff are very friendly and we were told that we were upgraded to a superior room( the place was experiencing the off-season low occupancy in late August). Elderly people should be aware that they don’t have a lift. And if you have a car you have park on the road. The rooms give you the heritage feel. Wish they had provided a small ladder to climb up to the bed. The washroom definitely needs a revamp. Actually this applies to the amenities in the room itself. The ac has seen its best days. The TV was also not operational. But to the credit of the employees they left no stone unturned to ensure that we could watch our favourite sport on TV . The fridge also didn’t work but we never used it. I appreciate that the hotel has shown its concern for the environment by providing water in glass bottles in the room. I went to the rooftop to inspect the jacuzzi but feel that the place has to be better maintained. The breakfast is functional but has healthy options and the staff most attentive. The dining hall has a worn out look. While checking out instead of our request no one came to help us bring down our luggage in the first floor. We were told that we qualify for 10% discount in their nearby restaurant. We were also offered a tour of their only Hindu building in the neighbourhood. The location of the hotel is truly exceptional. Hope the owners go the extra length to make the guest’s stay even more memorable.

Novel experience for relaxing and exploring Goa's Latin quarter and markets. All the best things in Panjim within half a km walk. It is authentically maintained as an old-world property. No words are sufficient to describe the wonderful hospitality with genuinely friendly and caring staff. Every request was taken care of instantly. They even surprised us with a celebration for a special occasion. Rooms are antique based, cozy and very comfortable. We had the superior room facing the canal with a small private balcony. Like all ITC hotels, food was innovative and of very high quality, be it the breakfast or the Goan delicacies at the restaurant. Worth a visit if your intention is to explore Panaji

Lovely accommodation, warm hospitality, and a tranquil location to connect with the heritage and history of Goa. The property is juxtaposed between the creek and the Mandovi. The fact that it is close to some restaurants offering mouth-watering local Goan cuisine, cruises and beaches like the Miramar are an added bonus.
