Como Uma Paro was a good choice. The hotel itself is set high above the Paro valley - with views of the very difficult approach into Paro International Airport ( donāt worry, thereās no noise pollution from the few daily incoming flights). The rooms are on the smaller side but very stylish and well appointed. The restaurant is the show stopper with wood stoves and an overall stunning design. Service was excellent. The menu in the restaurant changes every 2 days - we were unlucky that the menu was static for the 2 nights we were there. The food is good - but not excellent. The bar at the hotel looks like an afterthought and really needs āsomethingā to make it more cosy and appealing but the pomegranate cosmoās were very tasty! Do make time for an archery lesson - theyāre included and we had so much fun learning the Bhutanese National sport with a longbow. This was a definite highlight! Would we stay again- pretty sure we would.

A nice hotel in the Paro valley before for the airport and the hike up to the Tigers Nest. Would recommend the rooms with the lovely valley views and small balconies. There is an extensive spa there that we didnāt use but did use their lovely swimming pool large. Good food and service in their restaurant usually. However our one issue was that despite them saying breakfast starts at 6.30, even when we pre-ordered our breakfast the night before for 6.30 it didnāt happen and the drinks and simple breakfast didnāt arrive until 6.50 when we were due to meet our guide at 7. Considering most people stay there for that Tigers Nest hike and the guides suggest starting early to help avoiding the heat itās very disappointing that the hotel are not actually geared up for that.

We took whole package from Como covering Uma and Punakha. Our guide was Wangda and our driver was Tsering. Our guide and driver really made our stay memorable. I wouldn't want to spoil all their caring touches but rest assured we appreciated the thoughtful surprises like the full meal "picnic" lunch by the river and the fresh juices during our hikes. The food in Como and also during the tours were good. We looked forward to breakfast and dinner. The lady at the restaurant, Tema(?) at Como Uma was really so warm and kind. The rooms were cozy and very clean. The staff were sincerely very helpful.

Wonderful luxury hotel close to the airport, great to end the trip. It has everything you expect from a luxury stay. Great staff, great service and we had a one bedroom villa which was large and private. Our butler Karma was excellent. This is our first experience with COMO hotels and we look forward to trying their other properties. Restaurant was good. Breakfast was good. The spa and indoor swimming pool were beautiful. The grounds were private and beautifully manicured with the friendly local dogs that come to visit daily. This was the first luxury category resort in Bhutan (read āoldestā). As some of the reviewers have noted, it is a bit ātiredā and could do with a refresh. But it didnāt take away from the wonderful stay and staff.

Nice view over the Paro Valley but very old and run down dark rooms. Not up to Bhutanese standard. Staff is very nice and friendly and very helpful, food is ok and nothing special. But we celebrated an important birthday there for one of my clients and they went out of their way to make this a very special event. Nice place but needs an upgrade!!!

Lovely simple accommodations in the main hotel. The staff and their willingness to accommodate all needs truly make this hotel the best option in Paro for the upper end luxury options. We loved our meals and time at the hotel Canāt recommend enough.

I stayed at the COMO Uma Paro hotel for two nights and was quite disappointed with the experience. The rooms in the main part of the hotel felt worn and outdated, and unfortunately, it did not feel worth the price we paid. Perhaps the individual cottages offer a different experience. On a positive note, the food was good, though not exceptional.

WOW. What else can you say? Arrived after a long day of sightseeing and was informed that all members of our group had been upgraded to a villa. The villas a free standing buildings on the grounds away from the hotel, and they take you to them in a golf buggy so you don't have to walk. The villas are HUGE! I couldn't believe this whole space was just for me. You get a lounge room, huge bathroom with claw foot bath and separate shower and toilet, a bedroom with a king sized bed and your own massage room! There is also a small butlers pantry for the use of the butler attached to your villa. One of my favorite things was actually that there is a space in the bathroom for your luggage so you don't have to mess up your sleeping space with your suitcase. You can really spread out your belongings and hang stuff up and there's room for more than one bag. The resort is high on a hill and the view from the bath is amazing. Had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was lovely as well as drinks at the bar. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. They also have an archery range so you can try Bhutan's national sport which I thought was really cool. The only thing with this place, and it's not a complaint just something to be aware of, is that it's really far out of town. It's not walkable to get into Paro so you will need to catch a taxi - I think they may have a shuttle, but don't quote me on that. I did manage to have a look at the hotel rooms, which to be honest are a bit plain and dated for the price being charged (the villas most certainly are not at all). They have a pool and the spa looks nice too, but didn't have time to try either of these. The only small problem I had was it took far too long for them to get the luggage to our rooms. We had been hiking and then rafting that day and had a short turn around at the hotel to get changed before attending a business dinner in Paro. It came time to leave and my luggage still had not arrived. I was still damp, sweaty and quite a mess and there was no way I could go out like that, especially to a business function. My luggage eventually arrived and I was forced to have the quickest shower of my life and run (couldn't wait for the buggy) to reception to meet my group and guide - I wasn't even the last one to arrive. Overall, it was a small thing that was annoying, but didn't really taint my experience of what was otherwise an absolutely wonderful stay.

We made a decision to upgrade our itinerary right before we left home and Iām so glad we did. The beautiful setting up the mountain from the town of Paro was a respite of complete comfort with an outstanding staff. Khara and Kuenga at the desk were kind and very helpful as was the sweet woman in the gift shop. Jigme, in the restaurant, couldn't be more warm and attentive. Iām sorry I donāt have all of the names of everyone who made us feel so welcomed and cared for. It was hard to beat the incredible meals, the lovely pool, spa and yoga classes. Also, my son thoroughly enjoyed the ability to play archery and darts on property. After hiking during the day, there was nothing like coming back to the peaceful and quiet setting of Uma Como Paro with a staff that went out of their way to care for every need. It was hard to leave!

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful COMO Uma Paro hotel. The grounds are lovely with the villas spread apart to allow for the utmost privacy. The food was delicious. We highly recommend a hot stone bath followed by their signature massage. Our "butler" Cee-Ring was the best! He took such good care of us, teaching us archery, darts, a celebration dance, delivering dessert and special drinks to our villa, and making sure we had snacks on our hikes. But it was his warm sense of humor that was so special to us. We highly recommend COMO Uma Paro!

We stayed in this charming property on our first night and again during the last leg of our trip. Rooms are cosy with charming views over the valley and rice fields. We looked forward to mealtimes as the food was one of the best we had ever experienced in 3 decades of travel. The chef was accommodating with requests and we sorely missed the fresh and delicious offerings (8 months post stay). We especially enjoyed our interactions with Ms Nidup, who remembered all our dietary preferences (especially my daily banana bread) after just one day. Her cheerful smile was highly infectious. A minor grouse is that the duration of the āintroductory lectureā on the countryās charms could have been shorter. While we appreciate the enthusiasm and persnal touch, most newly arrived guests would have been fatigued by the arduous flight(s) and still struggling to get use to the altitude, and sitting through 20-30 min of plesantries would not be on top of their list of priorities.
