#positive #I was happy with the Nearby Activities, Nearby Restaurants, Value for Money, Nearby Shops, Bed Comfort Level, Mosquito Control Measures; strongly recommend The place is very quite and safe. Staffs are super nice. Mr. Rana are always ready to help. Breakfast is clean. It is a place several minutes walking distance from the Patan Square. The people in this community are very nice

Very pleasant and friendly place. The people are amongst the friendliest you’ve ever met. A very nice place. The surroundings are a bit messy, but so is the whole country. This is a highly recommended place to stay. They are helpful and make your stay relaxed.

Stayed at Shakya house for 4 weeks while writing my thesis. It was absolutely Perfect! Saajan and his family invited me with open arms and took care of every need. They even invited me to celebrate Dashain with the family, an experience wich I Will never forget. The room was clean, hot water in the shower and a decent breakfast. Nothing to complain about. Also big thanks to Rana who become a good friend of mine during my stay. I’m fleecet grateful for my stay with you and hope to see you again in the future!

I had a very good experience with this hotel and it’s staff A very welcoming place, it is quiet, clean and the staff is very friendly. The owner arranged an airport pick up / drop off for me, and also a bus pickup, this all went smoothly. The breakfast included in the stay is very well organised with a variety of items to choose from. The location is a walking distance from Patan durbar square where you can find many nice restaurants and shops. I look forward to staying again in the future.

Clean and cozy room with comfortable bed and wonderful breakfast served in the morning. . Its located centrally and reaching near by attractions was easy. The Durbar square is also within walking distance. A perfect choice for wonderful stay.

Simply the best place to stay in Latipur and maybe whole Kathmandu. When you want to feel like home in Nepal, that is the place to stay. Entering Shakya House is like entering an oasis out of the busy Kathmandu. The rooms are clean, luxurious and comfortable. The motto is "come as a guest and leave as a part of the family", which might sound exaggerated for your ears. But for us, it wasn't. We will definitely come back.

We (a couple) stayed at Shakya House for a month, and we loved the place. Our purpose in Nepal was both work related and vacation, and Shakya was the perfect place for us to have our 'base camp' at. The owners were incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming. Always asking us if there were anything they could do for us, always prepared to take time for us. The staff members were so kind as well. Shakya truly reflects what Nepal offers, and that is kindness and a welcoming approach. The facilities are clean (cleaned every day), offers good food if you feel like staying in for the evening and the breakfast is O.K. We will definitely return next time in Nepal.

The rooms are extremely clean, along with the attached bathrooms. Showers take a little while to warm up but no more then a couple minutes. The morning breakfast is good. Staff are all very friendly, especially Romeo the dog. Would recommend for anyone travelling through Kathmandu who wants to experience the cultural side of Nepal

Room was very small. Cheaply made, and you can hear noises from the next door or the room above. Bed sheets were clean.

I’d already spent some time in Kathmandu during my time in Nepal, but I didn’t check out Patan whilst I was visiting, so I decided to spend the weekend there on my return. Shakya House was fine for me. I didn’t want a fancy place, just somewhere clean. Security appears to be important here - they have round-the-clock guard who seems to monitor all your comings and goings. He even checked me in! Possibly a bit OTT, but who knows? It’s in a comparatively affluent area, so maybe it’s warranted. And he’s a friendly guy in any case. The gate is locked at 10pm, and you have to inform them if you plan to stay out later. Not really a problem if you stay in Patan as everything wraps up super early. Even so, the gate was already locked on my first night when I returned at 9:45pm. With regards to venturing out, Shakya House is a bit out on a limb - 10 to 15 mins walk to any of the sights or places to eat (unless you want fast food). Wi-Fi was temperamental - off more than it was on; frustrating when trying to back up! There’s a complimentary bottle of water when you check in, which you can refill as often as you like. Amusingly, I was also given a toilet roll at at check in. I’d have quite liked a kettle in the room, but not the end of the world. Breakfast is a simple affair, not too inspiring, but it’s enough unless you want something a bit fancier or more substantial.

Can recommend Shakya House Lalitpur Nepal for business or pleasure 🌺 Airport pickup, room service, friendly and warm staff and owner, good wifi connection. Nice patio and nooks and crannies. Sweet puppy too, a golden named Romeo that I enjoyed 😅

The reception during Check-in is really very friendly. All the staff are really attentive. The room is a large room with hot water and bathroom towels. It's very clean. The self-service breakfast is simple but very good. The price/quality ratio is excellent for this small hotel. I will come back if I pass through Kathmandu.
