The hotel has a great view, and the key is that the sauces for cooking are very complete. It seems to be an Indian-run hotel, very safe, and it takes only five minutes to get there by bus No. 1. Very convenient~

I found this hotel really disappointing. Whilst the views are amazing the rooms itself are run down and dated. The carpet is wearing through on the stairs, the chipped walls are in need of a repaint and I’m pretty sure the old rug hanging as a wall feature needs to go. I found the down stairs stuffy so opened up a window only to have a room full of midgies and sand flies. A fan in the rooms for summer nights would be good or fly screens on the windows. The bed is in desperate need of replacement, hubby and I spent the whole night rolling into each other as we sunk into the centre and the bed head was very unsteady. The shower doesn’t drain very well, so after a few minutes you’re standing in a pool of water. I gave two stars as the view is amazing, manager was friendly upon check in and we appreciated the supplies of soap, shampoo and conditioner and access to the lake. However overall not an enjoyable stay so much so we were booked in for three nights but left after two.

Enjoyed own space with family. Beddings were very comfortable, very clean place, great entertainment (TV), wifi. No cleaners during the week to distract our staying. Woke up to a great views took my breath away.

Back here the third time already. After in and out of other Queenstown luxury accommodations, it is always good to come back to BreakFree and enjoy the hospitality and great view. The location is great, 5 mins to town, 10 mins to the airport. Free parking as well!

The room we got was quite strange, felt like a converted garage or similar. The bathroom had mold on the ceilings around the shower. The ceiling was so low that once I got in the shower my head was touching the ceiling (I’m 6 foot). We mainly used the room as a base for our week in Queenstown and it served its purpose as a place to crash. When we wanted to chill in the room though we found it quite uncomfortable. The couch was a folded up futon and the kitchen stools were giving me back pain after ten minutes. Location is great, only ever took a minute or two to get a short Uber into town. Price was good for seven nights. Bed was comfortable enough. I’d say if you plan to spend not much time in the room it’s a good option. If you like to relax in your room a bit time to time, book somewhere else.

The 2-bedroom apartment was pleasant with a lovely view and handy to town. However, parking was a real issue and, unfortunately, our shower leaked all over the bathroom floor - apparently an ongoing issue that is to be resolved. We were compensated for this.

There was no one manning reception on check-in (at 3.30 pm). The door to the office was locked with a phone outside and a number to call. We called the number, and a fellow appeared from a closed door behind the reception desk. We had booked a Studio with a kitchen, and he informed us there was not one available. We had booked two nights here and were counting on self-catering. At first he said he could put us in the non-kitchen room for one night, then move us to the kitchen studio for the second night. I said this defeated the purpose of a two night stay, and he relented and gave us the studio with the kitchen. His attitude was condescending, we felt as though he was doing us a huge favour, and he gave us the impression we were interrupting his day. On check-out, at 10.00 am, there was one international, non-English speaking guest waiting at the Reception desk, my partner & I, and yet another guest, all with questions regarding check-out. We had to use the outside phone again to get someone to attend to us. His attitude was supercilious, and not at all welcoming.

Secondly Studio room does not come with kitchen facilities except for microwave, toaster & kettle. I can see that you have requested a room with cooktop and we have couple of studios with cooktops but we do not advertise them with cooktop options to keep it same description for studio room type. Your request was on request basis only and was subject to availability and was not guaranteed . There was one available next day and we happily moved your room. Hope you can understand our position here. In regards to using reception phone outside reception –I would like to advise that we are a small team here and everyone is hands on and working around the property during daytime. That’s why there are instructions to pick up the phone and speak to staff on duty in needed. This apartment is without doubt the most spectacular I have stayed in for amenities, space and view - it is often said that it is possible to 'drop a stone' off the balcony into a lake - at this place you can! I complained about the price for just 2 people (even though I knew and everywhere else was booked out) so we were upgraded to the top floor 3 bedroom 2 bathroom luxury apartment. Management and staff were helpful and friendly.

We only stayed one night. We are diamond members and got a really nice welcome at reception and an upgrade to a really nice 2 bedroom room. The room was quite old but the views were sensational and great for what we needed. Quite a walk if you want to walk into town but we drove so no issue for us. Also easy to get Uber eats delivered for dinner. Can recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment (no. 19) and paid abt $330 per night in February (peak season). We loved the location and felt at home. The kitchen has everything you need including an oven. We really appreciated the washing machine and dryer as well. We regularly sat on the balcony eating breakfast or having a drink. The apartment wasn't serviced during our stay, but we knew this beforehand as it's mentioned on their website-it didn't concern us at all. We collected an extra toilet roll from reception on our last night and the staff were more than accommodating asking if we'd like new towels or anything else as well. The car park is steep, but it's Queenstown - everywhere is steep. We would recommend staying at Breakfree The Point.

Our room was not ready at check in and when we got to our room there was no toilet paper. Arrived in room to find the photos in no way reflected the room we were issued as it was much older and not refreshed like rooms in the photos, it had floor tiles that were cracked, workers were repairing structural damage under the unit making incredible noise for the 2 days we were staying there. We were not offered a discount or room upgrade which would have been appropriate given the nightly cost of this room. Really disappointed and would not recommend.

Stunning view. Great customer service. A little challenging to self check in with and parking car. Steep slope need to drive carefully. Basic interiors and will be better if some salt and pepper can be provided for convenience.

Rooms were pretty dirty. We saw walls were covered with filthy dirt. Bathrooms weren’t even clean enough. Bedsheets had hairs as if it wasn’t changed. Not very impressed with this proposal. Looks like it’s been rented to young kids
