Room: Not very spacious and lacking finishing touches. The bathroom door couldn’t be fully closed. There was a water shortage while taking a shower. It happened once during my stay and had to call reception mid-shower to fix the issue. On the cleaning side, the service was perfect. Food: the buffet of main restaurant was not bad. Variety of choices but at some point, it started to feel very repetitive. We have only tried 2 restaurants à la carte. But they are not really à la carte. They just bring everything they have cooked in the kitchen during that day. Even if the staff was doing their best to offer a great service, the food was not delicious. Entertainment/activities: When I booked the hotel, I saw that they have sports sessions (pilates, yoga…) which I was interested to take in. To my surprise, I asked reception twice about these sports classes and no info was provided. They have repeated the same thing twice; that I have to look for the entertainment team, but they were nowhere to be found… For the evening entertainment, I was very disappointed by their shows. Nothing spectacular about them. Overall: I was surprised that this is a 5 star hotel. They need to invest in new technologies to improve their organisation (entertainment programs, booking of restaurants à la carte, information on hotel facilities…). Another that thing needs improvement is security. Anyone can enter the hotel either from the main entrance or from beach entrance. It didn’t really feel safe to leave your stuff on a sunbed to go and have lunch. You always have to carry your stuff with you.

We were very happy with our choice of this hotel. We stayed as a couple at the end of April/beginning of May. The weather was excellent although Ixia was a little windy which we were aware of before our visit . Hotel is welcoming, modern and very clean. We felt it deserved its 5* rating given the options and facilities available to guests and it’s very well organised . Pools are great plenty of choice including adult only and there is no shortage of sunbeds. Pool towels are available free of charge from the spa and can be exchanged daily. Beach area was a nice touch and we enjoyed the beach bar which is accessed via a tunnel under the road from the grounds of the hotel . Several bar areas available with branded spirits if you ask for them. Special thanks to Sergey at the lobby bar fab waiter service and such a nice guy. Sports bar is also good overlooking the sea and never too busy. Food and restaurants are great so much choice and all great quality. Two omlette stations at breakfast plus so much choice. We used all the restaurants available at lunch and really enjoyed each of them. We chose lucilous and the meat and fish grill for our a la carte options they were amazing with great staff too. The food was a big wow at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful and so pleased to chat with you they really take pride in delivering a fab service to guests. Our room was a side sea view plenty of storage and super comfy beds. We did have an issue of road noise which we put down to a fi**ent being missing at the top of the doors. We know this as when we used the shower room on floor one the doors were much better fitted. We did report this to reception on departure but not sure it will be fixed. It would also be nice if all the hotel toilets had working locks on the doors a lot of guests comment on this issue. Location is great as it’s close to Rhodes Town our favourite place over the years. Hotel is also not far from the airport. Overall had a great time and would recommend.

Honest review of this hotel. First the positives are great food choice in the main buffet, plenty of options and great for picky eaters too! The staff were super friendly and attentive - the service in both the restaurants and bars was fab. The rooms were spacious and clean and lovely to sit on the balcony each night (side sea room view). All of the cocktails were lovely although definitely watered down, to be expected with all inclusive but still a great range. However, this hotel is by no means a 5* all inclusive ultra. Our towels and bedding weren’t changed regularly and were not of a 5* quality. The al la cartè restaurants were very disappointing - we only went to the meat and fish grill however we were also booked to the Italian which we cancelled due a poor experience at the other restaurant. The food was much better in the main restaurant as all al la cartè are fixed menu’s. Again, this is not 5*. The room was two singles pushed together and we could not move due to being fully booked. The lifts are extremely slow and people tend to cram into them - you can wait a fair while for one to arrive and become free so definitely leave your hotel room with enough time if you have bookings. The sunbeds were always available- never a problem getting one however they were not of a 5* quality and felt quite uncomfortable and cheap to lay on. Overall, quite a short review just giving the bullet points. This hotel was good however should be a 4* maximum - certainly not fitting a 5* description.

Where to start. Hotel, grounds and rooms were spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault the food, was always lovely and a good selection each meal time. Can't comment on the other restaurants as didn't use them. Staff are a credit to this hotel, from housekeeping up to the supervisor's always polite always smiling and from what I saw looked like they were happy in their work. Pool area had plenty of beds and from what I saw no reserving of beds, although maybe time to upgrade beds around main pool, looks like beds have been upgraded around adult and children's pool. Animation team had only been with the hotel a few days but what a team, they were brilliant. Never had any issue with the lifts, we were on 8th floor. Our last few days there was a big conference and didn't have any issues with having to wait for lifts or to be served in any of the areas. I will mention this though and NO FAULT of hotels. The events company that organised this conference for a worldwide company had absolutely no organisational skills when it came to getting 600 plus people on numerous busses, it was a total shambles. They literally blocked the hotel lobby and the entrance. And I mean blocked, which ment holiday makers had to fight there way through. I did use the spa a couple of times, and was lovely, but, there was no price list or list to show what treatments were available you had to ask the spa receptionist. And no clear pricing either. All in all had a fab stay and would deffi lately recommend it, however, is it a 5 star hmm debatable, but, I will say this, hotel facilities, food and most deffinately staff are 5 star, without doubt. Rooms are very nice but the room I was in was no different to other 3 and 4 star hotels I've stayed in other than having the Complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee and stocked fridge, but that was because it was an all inclusive plus. I would say to any one, if your thinking about this hotel try it as I really don't understand the negative reviews it gets. Well done Akti Imperial and All your staff Thankyou.

A very high level hotel, very helpful staff I want to thank from the bottom of my heart the spa manager Maria who made sure to help me in everything from the first moment of the vacation to the last. It is evident that Maria gives her sole and heart to the workplace. Thanks to this service I plan to return soon with the whole family and of course I will recommend it to all my friends and loved ones

Nice looking hotel, very excited to try out a Deluxe Resort. Disappointed as each day went on.Hardly any storage space in the double rooms.Narrow wardrobe shelves, paint on the floor from poor finishing, glass door that doesn't shut.Had a meal booked at the Fish and Meat restaurant, no signage whatsoever. No information booklet in the room, restaurant staff can be good or bad, depends what day you are there.Policy seems to be to only serve one glass of wine at meals, no top ups offered.Raised issues with tui about no space in rooms, customer services just said that's how it is,it's minimalistic and laughed. Relations due to stay, 3 adults, here in July, will advice them to cancel as def no storage space for 3 adults unless they pay another £3000 for a family suite.Have stayed in Bel Air hotel nearby, smaller hotel but has better customer service ,whereas hete you just feel like a number.

This hotel is excellent. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we checked out. The rooms were not massive, but plenty big enough, very clean with towels and bed linen changed daily and a well-stocked and oft-refreshed mini bar. The food was first class, great choices and well cooked. We had a sea-view room on the 2nd floor and the view was outstanding. We had a wonderful stay and I am already looking to come back later this year. If I had to find fault, it was with the indoor swimming pool. The floor around the pool is dangerous when wet and can only be negotiated on tippy-toes. The bizarre locker room situation where after changing in the locker room, you have to go through the spa reception and the gym to get to the pool (and the reverse when getting out) is very awkward. That said, we swam most days and generally it was not too busy. Gladly, boisterous children were subdued by a lifeguard (there’s 3 outside pools for that). The hotel is ideally placed for access to the town, a short taxi ride there and back (10 -12 Euros each way). All the taxi drivers seem to know the hotel, so no directions etc are needed. All in all, a great stay and one I would recommend.

Arrived late and there was quite a few at check in which seemed to take ages. Got to the room which I would decribe as a decent city centre hotel room. Small but adequate. It had a sofa bed in the room but nowhere near enough space for 3. Nice enough view from the side sea views but balcony was very small and compact. Bars are decent with table service at night which is a nice touch but a little more care and attention needed when making cocktails as it really did depend on who made them or whether they came out of a pre made jug. Not the best at all!! 24 hour restuarant was welcomed but to me it looked like what was left from dinner and tasted a little "old". There was loads of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner but with it all being spread out in 4 different sections you sometimes had to que in different places to get what you wanted. The food was also luke warm so by the time you sat down it was almost cold. My advice would be to slightly reduce the amount of stations and replenish often with fresh hot food. You'll always find something to eat and with both pool bars serving gyros and pizza along with other things then you won't go hungry whatever your taste. The animation team are new to the hotel and have a lot to learn. They are unengaging and walk around and you wouldn't know they were actually the animation team at all. They don't even have the usual song and dance the teams usually have. Lots of work needed. Had a great time here and the hotel isn't bad at all but when choosing a holiday I prefer to try different hotels to get a different experience. Sometimes we have such a great experience it goes back on my list of places to go back to. Unfortunately this one won't be going back on the list as it is just not the duluxe 5 star hotel it makes itself out to be. I think it gets its 5 stars from the facilities it has rather than its class. Also, the weather was dreadful whilst we were there which probably made us feel we didn't get the maximum potential of what the hotel had to offer. Tip. If it is windy, get beds at the main pool.
