Stayed one night when passing through Lancaster. The host was very friendly and informative about local eateries and entertainment. (We loved the Araya Thai Restaurant) Room was comfortable. Not cramped and good window insulation against the busy road at front of property. Sliding door to bathroom could perhaps have done with a spray of wd40. Bathroom spacious enough but shower took some skill to regulate between cold and scalding (got there eventually). Bed was comfy and got a good nights sleep. Plenty of parking spaces in the car park immediately behind the property. It is a free council car park, busier during the day but we didn’t have a problem getting a park at any time. Breakfast (included) was plentiful. We knew in advance it wouldn’t include cooked items and that suited us fine. Staff again very friendly and helpful. Tbh the Townhouse probably waivers between a 3* and 4* rating for me but I felt after such a restful stay it would be churlish to reduce from 4* on basis of a squeaky bathroom door and weak shower.

I needed somewhere to start for an event in Lancaster. I first looked at the 'usual' Hilton and Premier Inn, prices were very high with next to no service with a box standard generic room with no soul. Lancaster Townhouse, I loved and love the name, which first got my attention is completely different from all of the above. Booking was great, via *******, too easy! I got welcomed by the host upon arrival and taken for a tour around the residence. It was delightful, especially as I first saw the stars from what looked like an American flag in the hall, a fancy black guitar in the dining area ahead of a very cosy and warm living room. My room was exquisite! I'd already informed part of my party for the event, that I would most definitely stay here again, and recommended they do the same. One of the party was astonished at how reasonable the cost summary was, as was I, to the near to over £100 from the aforementioned box standard hotels and Inns. The experience on both days, made what I had to encounter later on, more easier to deal with, truly. Well done, again! JP

My wife and I stayed for a single Friday night last weekend. We stayed at the rear of the property on the 2nd floor. Upon early arrival Stuart told us we could leave our bags, park round the corner in the free car park and check-in later after we had an afternoon in Lancaster. He gave us directions to the canal walk into the town centre and we took it and agreed it was a lovely introductory walk into Lancaster. Our room was very comfortable with nice touches like fresh bottled water and boxes of tissues. The continental breakfast the next day was outstanding with many choices of breads, crumpets, breakfast bars, cerials, fruit and the most delicious yogurts. The Ukrainian lady that helped ot at breakfast was very friendly and recommended Williamson Park and the Ashton memorial. We visited these on the Saturday and were very impressed by both the size of the park and just how enourmous the memorial is (you can go up to the top level via the internal staircases). Thank you for making our 1st trip to Lancaster a joyous and memorable one !

Warm welcome from the staff, clean room, nice shared living room space. Nice 10-15 minute walk into the centre of town along a pretty canal. Would stay here again.

Very friendly welcome, informative of the local area, generally great customer service and interested in my travel experience. Great cleanliness and room addition extras if required such as fruits, biscuits etc Great location- only 10 to 15 minutes walk to Lancaster centre either by the scenic canal during the day or main road at night. No real need for a taxi or bus. Definitely recommended.

My wife and I had a lovely one night stay in the Lancaster townhouse. The BnB is situated on the main road out of Lancaster to the M6. There is a free public car park at the rear. Our room was en-suite, clean with a comfy bed, shower, toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits and bottled water. The owner gave us a warm welcome and gave us some pointers to enjoy our stay. The breakfast is continental style with breads, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, tea, coffee and orange juice, found it a refreshing change from the traditional English breakfast. We had a lovely stroll along the canal into Lancaster centre, around 20 minutes or so and enjoyed the exploring the pubs, restaurants, castle etc. Can definitely recommend for a short stay to visit Lancaster

Owner pleasant. Room was small but clean, warm and comfortable. Toilet very clean, handbasin very small. Lots of stairs. TV small and on top of a wardrobe! Found out late evening that controls didn't work. Breakfast was very Spartan continental and disappointing. No cheese, cold meat etc. only toast, yoghurt and cereals. Orange juice, tea & coffee to drink. A bit far from town centre.

Spotless throughout, some lovely touches - fresh flowers, fruit, biscuits and sweets. Very friendly and welcoming staff. A good selection of foods for the continental breakfast.
