The Walliserhof Grand Hotel & Spa fails fundamentally on the most basic level of hospitality: senior staff demeanor and guest respect. Jana, a female duty managerwas consistently rude, dismissive, condescending and bullying in her interactions. When I was visibly ill, she made me feel guilty and burdensome rather than offering even minimal concern or support. She attempted to guilt-trip me for using the hotel-arranged transport to reach a pharmacy—behavior that is astonishingly hostile for any guest-facing role, let alone in a luxury establishment. Additionally, while waiting in the room for the porter to collect luggage (a standard service), I was unfairly charged a late checkout fee. When raised with Jana, she refused any flexibility or goodwill gesture. Instead she coldly blamed the guest, repeatedly stating “all information is on the website” and “you should have read the paper,” shifting full responsibility onto me while showing zero empathy or willingness to make the guest feel welcome. On the pharmacy transport arranged by the hotel: Jana: “You made the porter go out of his way. That’s extra trouble for us because of you.” This really makes me question if this is a 5 star hotel. Regarding the unfair late checkout charge while waiting for the porter: Me: “I was waiting in the room for the porter to pick up the luggage to the lobby as told my your staff on the phone.” The staff coldly said: “All the rules are clearly on the website and on the paper in your room. You should have read them. No exceptions.” Zero empathy, constant blame-shifting, cold tone. This is not 5-star service—it’s hostile and unprofessional. Jana’s attitude ruined the stay. Avoid if you expect basic courtesy.

Loved every minute of our stay at the Wallisserhof. Warm friendly staff & team. Extremely helpful. Beutiful hotel in a great location. What a picturesque hotel in a picturesque village!!

Unforgettable Stay with Outstanding Service! it was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. The service was beyond amazing—every staff member went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. The facilities were top-notch, from the impeccably maintained rooms to the luxurious amenities available throughout the property. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort. Breakfast was a highlight of the trip—delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety of options to cater to all tastes. It was the perfect start to every morning.

This is a fantastic hotel, very nice rooms, great staff, very helpful and so kind, special mention to the bar tender Theresa, with her outstanding drinks. We will definitely be back

The hotel is located in the center of Saskatchewan, and the view from the balcony in the early morning is pleasant, especially the golden sunrise on the mountains. The hotel facilities are good, and the swimming pool looks beautiful. They also offer a shuttle service, but they won't mention it unless you ask. The hotel breakfast has a decent variety of hot and cold dishes, and the taste is acceptable. Although the hotel provides a guest card, be careful not to be scammed, as they won't inform you that the time allotted for the cable car ride is very limited. If you arrive in the afternoon, you need to hurry to take the cable car, even though the guest card states that the time is 2 days.

Exceptional welcome by Sydney, all the staff are charming, at the bar, at the restaurant…upgrade offered, magnificent room with view on the glacier, very well arranged with separate toilets, Nespresso coffee maker in the room, extra breakfast, only downside the coffee is not self-service, you have to ask the waiters. The Saunas part is good, it lacks some fruits and drinks available. Overall everything is perfect

Thanks to the staff for upgrading the room for us, we can enjoy the beautiful view of Matterhorn from the terrace, which is very happy. The room is spacious, has a self-service dining area, and is fully equipped with stoves and cooking utensils. It is very suitable for skiers. The bathroom is very clean, there is a bathtub for soaking, and there is also a public swimming pool and spa. It's a pity that I didn't check-in earlier. I must come earlier next time to enjoy it. The location is excellent, only 4 minutes away from the train station, and it's easy to walk with your suitcase. It is walking distance from Gornergrat and Sunnegga stations, and there is a bus stop at the door to the Metterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car station. Breakfast is very rich and delicious. This stay is really worth the money👍🏼

We stayed 4 nights at the Walliserhof. The first room assigned to us overlooked a construction site and we asked to change. We were placed in another room, quiet but on the ground floor, so a bit dark but spacious and quiet. The gym and the SPA pool area were nice. We only had breakfast, and it was not up to par with a 5-star hotel. Every morning, the same things, especially for bread, little choice and anemic pre-cooked sandwiches. For the rest, a plateau of cheeses, cold cuts and products that we do not eat for breakfast (smoked salmon and fish fillets), good yogurt and wholemeal crisps. Not an optimal quality/price ratio. High tourist tax CHF 7 per day but allows you to take advantage of free transport (buses and cable cars in the region

This is the best hotel we have ever been and we keep coming back several times per year. Super relaxing stay amd we feel always so welcomed!
