Love it, the hotel is right there on the beach and La Jolla sea shore beach is the most peaceful and friendly beach I ever visited. The beach is very broad and water is shallow. Good for kids and beginner surfer. Hope i can stay there longer. Will defintely come back.

They have hidden charges that they won't disclose to you and would later charge your card without any prior heads up, so beware!

Excellent location - right on the beach. Only negative was the cost of parking- $42/night. It should have been in the property information.

This is our second time staying at this property. Having a kitchenette is convenient. The grounds are nicely kept. Although the rooms are clean they need updating. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are gas fire pits in the courtyard for the guest to use. Restaurants are within walking distance. There is also a market close by. The hotel is overpriced but you are paying for the location. I would recommend the hotel and definitely would stay here again.

Pricey and not sure why it is a resort. Seemed like a regular hotel to me. No spa, no extras in the room besides the bathrobe. Was great to have a patio but the wooden poles were a huge obstruction. Wish happy hour was from 3-6 instead of 2-5. They sent texts saying there would be live entertainment at brunch but that has ceased two years ago. If I hadn’t had a training there I believe we could have found better place to stay for the money we paid

This is a lovely hotel in an excellent location. We loved the architecture and listening to the waves crash. It could use a little bit of updating but all in all we loved it and would stay again.

This place never disappoints! In fact the service has only gotten better. I have been staying here for three decades and it is as if I am experiencing it for the first time every time. Whoever has hired the new staff has found employees who care about the work they do.

I look forward to stayimg here on the beautiful kid friendly beach. The unsurpassable hotel staff made or stay perfect.

LaJolla Shores Hotel is a gem. We’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and courteous. It has a real family feel to it. Wonderful place right on the beach. I give it 5 stars and will always recommend it. Special thanks to the amazing people who work at LaJolla Shores.

The hotel is always amazing. The changes made to the balconies however ruined our trip. Te charm of the ocean view was almost completely removed by the plywood installed. Plexiglass would have kept the view and atmosphere intact. The balcony chairs are too short to look over the plywood and enjoy the view. I have been visiting this hotel for 20 years and now question returning

Second year in a row I’ve stayed here while attending the golf tournament at Torrey Pines. Always a pleasure, and look forward to staying here again next January! Great staff, accommodations and location!

Elevator on room 333 side very odorous of bug spray, just go smell it. Property very outdated. Not worth the price.

Very old and dated hotel. Construction at the hotel next to our room. Not worth the cost.

A beachfront hotel... Need more be said? La Jolla is clean, comfortable, and has a great restaurant! Waking or falling asleep to the song of ocean waves is excellent. I appreciated the reassurance of underground parking as well. Even though doors are external facing, the area as a whole does feel safe. I was impressed the sliding doors for each patio have multiple locks as well. I would definitely return!
