Incredible location near food all over super nice but the front desk wasn’t very nice

I have stayed at this property and its sister properties in the past. My experiences have run from great to somewhat great. My stay at the Cow Hallow Inn & Suites this April, 2024, was no different. My room was clean and somewhat comfortable. The chairs were hard and the bed was a bit lumpy. The carpet is in need of a replacement . The property is going through a renovation and upgrade which I am sure means replacing the carpet and furnishings. My experience in the past is that unless you reserve one of their suites, your experience will be average at best. Value for what you get is more than fair. The location is fantastic as you will be staying in the heart of the Marina district with its iconic San Francisco pubs and bistros and three blocks from Cow Hallow/Union Street, with its boutiques and cafes. Plenty of public transportation to downtown San Francisco and Union Square as well as Chinatown and the financial district. I do recommend this inn for a short stay.

Everything was good. Staffs are nice and place is comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was the room I was in :( There is a tree right outside of my window and it blocks the view. Other than that, I had a good stay.

Clean, convenient, friendly and great location. I will turn back next time.

This hotel is really in the middle of nowhere in California. Hahahaha. But this hotel is really good. The breakfast is delicious. The room design is very good. There are paintings on the top. The overall experience is worth the price.

This is the first hotel we stayed in during our trip to the western United States in April. The facilities are relatively old, but the location is superb. It is located in the MARINA district, not far from the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street and Fisherman's Wharf, and can be reached by bus in just a few stops. On the day we arrived, we found that the toilet in the bathroom was not cleaned, and there was a suspicious and dirty rag next to the washbasin that had not been taken away. The weather in Los Angeles in mid-April was still relatively cold, but the hotel room only provided one loosely woven cotton blanket! We called the room service and asked for two more blankets to be stacked together. Only with three cotton blankets would we not feel cold and sleep well... More conveniently, there is a dedicated parking lot on the first floor of the hotel, and guests can park for free. The young man and the beautiful girl at the front desk were very enthusiastic and happy to help. When they used the microwave in the office to heat up the food for me, it might be because the wiring of the building where the house is located is old, and the microwave tripped and cut off the power as soon as it was turned on, but they did not show any boredom and insisted on helping me heat up the food. It should be said that Ctrip's prices are still very competitive, much cheaper than *********.

This hotel has free parking and plenty of parking spaces. The room is also very big and there are many restaurants across the street. The price/performance ratio is good. The disadvantage is that you can only check in at 4 o'clock, which is not so late.

I booked a room for two days in total, mainly because I liked the convenience of parking. When we checked in, the front desk gave us the worst room, which was not clean. We asked to change rooms but were told that the water supply would be cut off at 9 a.m. on the third day. We had already checked in, so we had no choice but to forget it. , but when I returned to the hotel at nine o'clock the next night, there was already no hot water for taking a shower. I asked the front desk and they said that the boiler was being repaired and there was nothing they could do, and they did not express any apology. The air conditioning equipment in the room was old and it was so noisy that I couldn't sleep at night and had to turn it off.

The room is spacious, clean, convenient location, nearby restaurants are convenient, and the hotel front desk is friendly.

After staying for one more night, I said that the location is good, but the heating is still not satisfactory, but I can make do with it. It's still quite cold in San Francisco after dark this season.
