The room and terrace are large and the views are beautiful. Although the view on the left is more obscured than in a public place and it is easier to see strangers, the overall feeling is very good. The jacuzzi is very good. You can cover it with a cover when not in use. It is better for insulation and cleaner.

The most satisfactory hotel I stayed in during my 20-day trip to Europe. The room was large and clean, and the entrance was picturesque! I absolutely loved it. The breakfast was rich and delicious! Very close to the bus station. Town center.

The hotel is strategically located only a few steps below another hotel, the Hotel Atlantis, and near the Thira town center. It is a relatively small hotel, like most of the "cliff hotels" in Santorini, providing a more private, luxurious feel. We stayed in the "Athina" room, which is a few steps down from the reception. We loved Athina. It feels like a big cave with the bedroom and bathroom separated from the main common area. The common area and bedroom have their separate console A/Cs. On the rooftop, there is the pool area with a nice lounge, where you get a panoramic view of the west side of the island. Breakfast was included in our stay. You have to call reception to get the breakfast delivered to your room. The breakfast is a nice continental spread with eggs, fruit, delicious Greek yogurt, breakfast pastries, pancakes, and a spread of jams. The staff was also very nice, especially the young hostess in the reception area.

Amazing hotel and experience! The view was literally perfect - my favourite part! We watched the sunset every night and the lights from the town were beautiful - the hotel has a communal balcony but there were rarely guests there (we had the balcony to ourselves every evening!). The staff were super friendly (Joanna and John were super nice and always helpful).. I was worried about the steps/walking for my older parents but there were only cobbled (not steep) 20 steps from the main walking path in Fira town and a handful of steps within the hotel itself (10-20 steps depending on which room you're in). My parents (60+) were absolutely fine with that and after researching other hotels, it sounded like this was the hotel with the least number of steps :) Was quiet and tucked away from the main walking path. Super convenient, about 5-10 mins away from restaurants/cafes/shops. Junior suite was perfect for my parents with a private balcony and hot tub - it was a real treat for them!

The location of Hotel Thireas is excellent and the view from the balconies is exactly the ones you see in the pictures. We had our breakfast on one of the terraces overlooking the caldera -- it's priceless. And the breakfast itself is plentiful and excellent. There is a long sloped and stepped walkway from where your taxi or shuttle will drop you off so if you have wheeled luggage, you will either need to carry it or call reception to have them help you. This is standard for any hotel in Santorini (i.e none of the hotels are directly on the road) so just pack light or use a bag that's easy to carry. The rooms all have "soundproof" doors which is a necessity given the close proximity between the other rooms within the hotel as well as adjacent buildings. Some people stay out late and come home in a rather loud and careless state so you may still hear them through the doors. Again, this isn't unique to Hotel Thireas. The room we stayed in ("Poseidon") is a two bedroom, two bathroom cave room. There are no windows in either of the bedrooms so if you don't like being in confined spaces, factor that in. John, the manager, is welcoming and accommodating. He organized our transit to and from the airport as well as a rental car for one of the days we were on the island. All of them were smooth and fairly priced. He also recommended two very good restaurants (Kipos and Kokkalo which were also excellent). The only reason it didn't earn a 5 star is that I'm a tough grader and while the accommodations met my expectations, they didn't exceed them to the point of being exceptional. If we return to Santorini, we would certainly stay here again.

We came during the off season and were lucky to stay here for the price we paid because the breakfast and the view was the highlight of our trip! John the manager was so friendly and helpful he even helped us with carrying luggage through the steps of Fira town. I would definitely stay here again. The location is superb literally walking distance to everything in town and again the view from the hotel is to die for especially if you want to see the sunset

We only stayed here one night, but it was a really nice experience. The staff was extremely helpful. The place was very clean. The pool area has a great view over Fira and the hotel has several balconies and terraces with great views as well. Since our flight was scheduled early in the morning we didn‘t expect to be able to get some breakfast, but after mentioning the staff prepared us a breakfast and brought it to our room the night before. We wish we could have stayed longer, it is such a nice place with outstanding staff!

Everything was excellent: - the view (over the Caldera) - the location (in the center but still peaceful) - the hospitality (special thanks to Vanessa and Artha!) - the breakfast (versatile and served at the room) - the peacefulness - the cleanliness - the jacuzzi in our terrace - the pool We had the Junior Suite (Dionysos) for one week and it was really good.

Our stay was magical. Let's start with the amazing staff, John and Vanessa will bend over backwards to assist you with any of your needs. They are friendly, professional and make you feel like family. They assisted with a few tours and another nice perk of this hotel is they have a designated driver, (Aris). who is super great and usually available on short notice. Every restaurant they recommended was perfect. The room was very minimalist, and perfect. Super clean and the view was breathtaking. Once awake you call for your breakfast and it usually arrives within minutes. It's a fabulous breakfast with fruit, yogurt, eggs, bread, juice and coffee. (if you're a big coffee drinker ask for 2 pots and they'll happily bring it. The location is right in the middle of everything. yes, you have to walk up some stairs, buy hey, it's Santorini of course. If you want something personal, small and luxurious this is the place.

We arrived about nine pm. We were picked up by a driver and brought to our hotel without helping us with our luggage on the way down. When I asked the staff why nobody helped us, she appeared irritated. The staff Christina was not that all effective since she appeared not to know anything and when asked where to eat she directed us to only one restaurant only to find out that there were a few open and nearby. Worse, she smelled she just had a cigarette. My husband also had bouts of cough , uncontrollable ones just like the reviews given by others meaning, it may appear clean because of white sheets but underneath it was so dusty. Luckily I brought some medicine with me. The bed was not sturdy too. If there are other hotels please choose other ones.

This hotel has everything you need to enjoy the most beautiful holiday in Santorini. I am trying hard to think about one negative but I can’t find anything wrong with the hotel. Stunning views, spacious, super clean hotel. The ladies that bring you delicious breakfast to your balcony every morning were so kind and nice. Absolutely impecable service all around. One thing that you should know about Santorini is that Fira is a very fun town but there is no easy access to the beach so if it’s hot you will need to stay in a hotel that has a pool. This pool was absolutely gorgeous, very private, quiet and with the most beautiful relaxing view. You can watch the famous Santorini sunset from there or from your own private balcony. We stayed in the Hermes room and you can also watch the sunset from you own private jacuzzi! At night it was quiet for sleeping but from the balcony you could hear the party and fun coming from the happy town of Fira. The hotel is steps away from all the restaurants, shops and nightlife. The manager John , the evening staff Elvis and the other gentleman, I forgot his name, were all super helpful even carrying our suitcases up and down. We were so sad to leave the hotel and beautiful Santorini. Highly recommend this hotel.
