This hotel is excellent and is the friendliest hotel we have ever been to. Paula is an absolute star, the barman (sorry can’t remember his name) was also really nice and so was the owner who even bought us a drink. The pool was lovely and warm , sun beds are aplenty and the umbrellas are great as they tilt. The rooms are basic but really big and have everything you need. Breakfast changed each day and although there wasn’t masses of choice we could always find plenty to eat. Bar prices and snacks were reasonable and tasty. The hotel is a 5 min walk to the beach and the ***** which we loved with lots of bars, restaurants etc. Lots of the bars had music and lots of tribute singers every night. It was a relaxing holiday we used the buses to get around and we would definitely go back to this hotel. If you’re thinking of booking go ahead it’s an absolute gem and the staff really make it.

What a little gem of an hotel this is. Chosen due to it being a small family run hotel. Staff unbelievably friendly, with the fantastic Paula at the helm. Room more than spacious, even if basic. But basics is what you get in Greece. Clean and tidy. Food at breakfast was short in choice, but of agood standard. Meals from the restaurant were excellent and plentiful. Loads of sunbeds with no one putting towels out in advance. Lovely spacious area around the pool. All in all a lovely place, nice and quiet with all round fantastic value for money.

Stayed for a week and it was our first time to Corfu. Room was spacious which was a major selling point for us. Pool was big with plenty of sunbeds. Staff all very friendly especially Paula. Managed to see a few praying mantis around the hotel and lizards. Down by the river we spotted a coypu and a baby. Breakfast was very basic which suited me as I tend to over eat but I can see why some people I spoke to were not happy with options. Sadly this hotel has gone over to Jet2 now so we have booked another hotel as we really enjoyed this Island. Thanks Stemma

We as a couple had never before visited Sidari, so we went along with friends who have visited many times. Our base was Stemma Hotel, and on arrival we were greeted very warmly by Paula, and instantly felt at home. Once checked in, we were shown to our room, which was upstairs and friends were allocated in a ground floor room very close by. Very impressed by the size of the rooms and also how spotlessly clean everywhere was. Except for a couple of occasions, we always had plenty of hot water for a shower. The kitchen area was well set out, and although the most we used was the kettle, it would have been fine to prepare a meal of sorts if needed. Was nice to have a full size fridge with a freezer compartment. The hotel sells packs of 6 x 1.5 ltr bottles water at very reasonable cost, and we found this very handy as no having to lug around heavy bottles water from supermarket to the Stemma. The Hotel sits down a lane that’s accessible from both sides, so it’s really quiet which we found was a definite plus, but within a few mins you are down by the sea, and the nearest supermarket (they sell huge freshly baked cakes and pastries and are a delight) and also El Greco and Cappriccio are 2 fantastic restaurants at bottom of lane. Within easy walking to the “*****” too. We were taken aback by just how friendly everyone is at the Stemma, it’s a very well run Hotel, and has staff that are so obviously happy to be part of the working of it. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone, they are more than willing to help ensure your holiday is the most enjoyable it can be. The breakfast is very basic with limited choice, so we only ate at Hotel breakfast time 3 or 4 times in our 10 night stay, but must say the food you order from the bar menu at lunch or dinner time is absolutely divine! Very large portions and so deliciously tasty 😋 and very reasonably priced. The pool area at Hotel has more than enough sun beds, which are spaced out around both the large adult and the smaller kiddies pool, and also plenty of umbrella’s. The pool itself is very well maintained, and clean and while we were there beginning of September it was generally very quiet as most holidaymakers seemed to just want to sunbathe for the most part. One point to note: if anyone has room 110 we hope you don’t have same encounter that we had one early morning (before 6am) got woken up to what we initially thought was a fire alarm but soon realised it wasn’t! Such a shrill loud squawking noise, we hunted everywhere to find where it was coming from, was so loud I was sure it would wake the whole block up! Hubby went outside to see if it was originating from there, opened windows, shut windows, shook curtains, opened cupboard doors etc - was driving us crazy as just wasnt able to locate the unrelenting noise. As a last resort I decided to turn kitchen tap on to see if the noise would make it shut up and weyhey it stopped!! It was then, after a good half hour we realised the creature that was

This was our first time in Corfu, the transfer to the hotel was a long one after waiting for people who'd chosen a private transfer but not informed Jet2 which put another 45 mins onto an already long day. Upon arrival at 1am, we were greeted with a smile and helped to our apartment 140. The apartment was lovely and spacious with 2 balconies and air con provided (free of charge). The hotel also provided a Greek snack, ½ bottle of Rosè which was a nice touch. The pool area is lovely, more than enough sunbeds, and the cleanliness was great. Paula is a fantastic asset to the hotel and was so friendly, making sure she greeted is each morning. Breakfast was adequate, but my boys weren't fans of the selection available, but still able to have toast daily. Must say the coffee was awful, and brought some nescafe cappuccino sachets from the supermarket instead. We ate at the snack bar a couple of times for lunch and the chicken burgers were a big hit with my boys! Better than some on the ***** for sure. Overall, it's a great base. 10-15 mins from *****, 20 mins from Canal D'Amour. The roads are very narrow and the lack of pavements can sometimes be a little unnerving. We had a few day trips, a couple of beach days. My boys prefer quieter nights, but loved the fact that football was on TV in the bar too. Think this hotel could benefit from a pool table or table tennis table to add some options if wanting to keep kids occupied. Apartment was cleaned every day and fresh towels every other day. A very nice and comfortable stay 🙂

For me, yes it could be more pristine...however, people need to stop westernising everything. Its Greece. The staff are lovely and caring, there are enough sunbeds (meaning no arguments), always music playing (bit dodgy sometimes but that's fine), really really chill environment, both in and around the hotel. And back to what I said about the fact it's Greece, that's why there are dusty roads and a lack of paths, but you should be aware of this before coming. Paula and Kostas are the most genuine, friendly people you will ever meet. They genuinely love their job and actually want people to enjoy themselves, and care for you.

Good points: Paula the host is lovely, accommodating, friendly. The staff are friendly in general. Bar prices are very good. (Large beer & soft was only €5) Cleaners did an adequate job. Room size is very generous for two people. Location is great being just 10 minutes from the ***** and 4 minutes from the beach. Pool area and terrace are small but very pleasant. Bad points: Upkeep of the gardens is shabby. The Wi-Fi is horrendous, slow when it decides to connect for a short time. Breakfast was VERY limited and poor quality. Coffee was like gravel. (We paid extra for breakfast and decided to eat out the rest of the week) Bathroom is a wet room but the plumbing and levels are all off so the shower just floods the entire room. Asked to borrow an iron at reception was presented with an old iron with a nick in the cable that was repaired with a plaster… when I asked for an ironing board, they had none. The rooms are not well blacked out at night. Curtains are not 100% fit for purpose, front door has windows in it and the outdoor “hallways” are lit by white light 24/7. The cleaners let themselves in early. There are no “do not disturb” signs. The air on unit above us was leaving on our ground floor balcony. The safe in the room was dead and inactive. Not really a complaint: Although the location is close to everything, it’s a walk up a gravel path with lots of transfer vehicles going up and down, so dusty. Something to maybe bear in mind if you have lung problems etc. We had a nice stay there don’t get me wrong, but I felt a lot of the reviews on here misled us on the quality of the place. We were very disappointed for the money we paid.

Just back from an eleven night stay and looking to go back already. Having stayed in sidari previously I can honestly say after staying here I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Corfu. The location is slightly out of the way but only around a 10-15 min walk to the main ***** with bars along the way and this makes it really quiet in the evenings so isn’t a negative. It’s a family run hotel and it shows as they go the extra mile and really care about their guests. The pool area is really quiet and relaxing and no sunbed wars as beds are available throughout the day and all rooms are less than 50 metres away from the lovely pool ( which is spotlessly clean .) The breakfast is pretty basic but we got into a routine and always found something to eat. The bar snacks during the day were fantastic and really good value for money. The rooms are quite dated, however a lot of Greece hotels are but it was spotlessly clean and very large and the beds were extremely comfortable. The maids changed towels daily and sheets maybe every other day. The best thing about this place is the family run environment and their staff Costas in the evening was fantastic as was the maids however one of the many reasons I would return to this place is Paula the lady who works the bar during the day. She is a fabulously pleasant lady who really makes everyone feel welcome. From morning til 5pm she works tirelessly and nothing is too much trouble - I can’t say enough nice things about her. My husband mentioned he likes olives the day after she brought home grown olives and olive oil into the hotel for him to try - now that’s customer service. She even came for a hug on her last shift because she knew we’d be gone the next day. This place really is lovely - thank you Stemma for a fabulous holiday.
