Would be nice to have tea & coffee facilities in the room. Well that’s it, the worst part over. My NEW husband & I celebrated our marriage that day at the Crazy Bear with our 2 best friends (witnesses ). Having read the reviews I was a quite worried, but we had the best time. Decor is quirky and opulently OTT but you know that if you visit the web site and it amused us. We dined in the English Restaurant, the food was fabulous and no complaints with the service. Every member of staff was pleasant, helpful and attentive. Makes you wonder what the people are like that complain!? It is expensive, and that May set expectations for some extremely high, but you can stay in a travel lodge if you’d rather. It was a special day for us and our stay at the Crqzy Bear Beaconsfield helped make it more special. Thanks Crazy Bear.

I had the best time with my husband for my birthday. The Thai restaurant was to die for! Drinks were great, especially the cocktails. The rooms were fabulous! I loved how unique our room was. We were in the loft part, can’t remember the room name. It had a bath with the tap in the ceiling and it was black and gold themed. The downside is how expensive it is! It really is quite ridiculous BUT I’d love to go again. Check in is quite late and check out is quite early so if you’re going for 1 night you don’t really have much time there. Shops around the corner so you can stock up on some drinks etc and take them to your room. Loveeee the decor, people were nice, the little garden with the pool was so cute.

Absolutely overpriced, underwhelming and chavviest place I have ever stayed in! We stayed here for our very first wedding anniversary after seeing all the hype On social media. We expected a grand, classy establishment for the price we paid. Overall Well over £800. The room. We had upgraded to a superior room and were escorted through a Car park to our room in another building. The room has no windows, covered in velvet, very quirky but seedy and god knows how they clean it (if they do as it stinks). No smaller than a shoebox! God knows how small the tiny room is! There are no amenities whatsoever on the room! No tea, coffee or water. I’ve stayed at travelodges for £20 that even supply that! There is no storage to put clothes or anything. The bath fills from the ceiling, sounds good ay! Well no cos the water splashes everywhere and then when you try to turn it off the tap is so stiff it takes a bear to do this. The bathroom is divided by a curtain so would avoid smelly toilet trips as your whole room will stink. The bed was awful and we woke up with terrible back pain. Didn’t sleep a wink as everytime the other rooms use the taps or bath you get a noisy boiler sound and at one point a constant dripping, knocking sound. The hotel facilities. When we arrived to get to our room we were escorted through the whole hotel, through the bar, through the Moroccan lounge. I can’t tell you how busy this was! No seats anywhere. It’s like going on holiday and scrambling for a sun bed. Literally jam packed and so small so you feel like you’re all talking over each other. The pool was not being used, not that you would want to as it looked filthy with moss and ****s all growing at the sides. Eventually we managed to nab a space outside. But now we didn’t want to move through fear of losing our spot. So we ask to cancel our booking at the Thai restaurant in favour of having food outside. The receptionist said they was perfectly fine and you can have the English menu no problem. Come 7pm we ask to order after being given the menus by the receptionist only to be told that we cannot have that menu outside. We fought our corner and eventually they agreed. The food was average and majorly overpriced. We had to mains and paid well over £120. That doesn’t include drinks, starters etc. Drinks are £15 a pop! And my husband ordered a cigar which took over an hr to come to be told Sorry we dint have the one you wanted . They serve it to your table and he beings to light and smoke it. After spending a small Fortune on it we were then told sorry you can’t smoke here you have to go round the corner 😂😂😂. We were Told they had a dJ and it will Be lively Outside tonight. To be honest we could barely hear it and ended up listening to music on our phone instead. Breakfast was not really Worth it better off going somewhere else. Even a cafe serves better food and much better service. Parking is also a nightmare. Be prepared to walk. Overall I will never come here again!

We booked a night stay with dinner and breakfast to celebrate our 10th anniversary after a friend recommended here, however after reading quite a few of the negative reviews I was a bit concerned what we had let ourselves in for, but I can happily say we really enjoyed our stay. From arrival to check out all the staff members we encountered were very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was so unique, we loved it! Bath filled from the ceiling, thanks for the tip don't lean over the middle of the bath when turning on the tap. Our room did get quite warm especially after running the bath, using hairdryer and iron but we just left the front door open for a bit and it soon cooled down, the air con worked really through the night. There is a separate car park for hotel guest which was nice to have our car practically next to our room. Highlight of course would be the dinner, we booked the English restaurant and was not disappointed one bit, for starters my husband had the duck and I went for the scotch egg after asking our waitress what she would suggest and for mains my husband had lamb while I had pork, all looked and tasted absolutely delicious and we would of loved to try a desert but were too full. Drinks are quite pricey so we just had a cocktail with dinner, as I had already read this in other reviews we did bring our own bottles of wine in a cool box for in the room so the 1 drink with dinner was enough. Next morning we went down for breakfast around 9am this would be the only real negative as I think most people arrived at the same time meaning the 3 staff members are then running around trying to serve everyone, so we did end up waiting quite a while for our food but when it did arrived it was nice. Would of liked our own pot of tea and coffee left on the table so we could top up ourselves and that would probably have helped with the staff/service speed but you could see they were trying their absolute best and again were all very friendly and as helpful as possible. All in all a very nice stay.

I hosted my baby shower event at this hotel, and it was fabulous!!! Saanya who helped me through the booking process was super helpful with guiding me in ways I could set up the private room and catering for all the dietary requirements for my guests and Chloe who on the day of the event went above and beyond in making sure I was happy with the arrangements and my guests were looked after and did all the running around for me. I would recommend this venue for your special occasions. Apart from the fact it’s stunning inside - the staff are also very helpful.

I held a celebration for my book publication in The Library. The Crazy Bear staff were very friendly and excellent to deal with accommodating all my requests to tailor the event. They were flexible with attention to detail, and looked after us perfectly all evening. The food and champagne were delicious too! Thoroughly recommend this spectacular and unusual venue!

We had the 12 course taster menu which comes with a glass of champagne. The starter was sea****, pork ribs, edamame, prawns and sea bass shashimi. There were too mana edamame’s. The main was made up of 6 dishes and sweet. The staff are attentive but give you space. We also had wine which wasn’t overly priced we had 1/2 bottles as it was a night out.

Terrible customer service. Phones that are never answered and poor excuses are the reasons why I gave this hotel a 1 star rating. Booked a short break, encountered stroppy staff, phones that were answered and then cut off immediately and a member of the Spa staff that made an excuse that they were on holiday for the reason why we couldn't book any Spa treatments. There was no flexibility and no customer service. If I could have rated the hotel a zero, I would have. I have cancelled my weekend break with them and would not advise anyone to visit, especially based on the experience I had.

Really unique rooms, lovely areas to both eat and drink in. Cocktails were a little overpriced but lovely. Food in the English restaurant was delicious, particularly the butternut squash starter and the banana bread dessert. A few things letting this hotel down are the wet room bathrooms as once you've showered in them there's just water everywhere so going in and out of the bathroom after that is annoying. Secondly, the 'discretionary 13.5% service charge which is added to every bill and which I imagine people either don't notice or feel embarrassed to say no to. Nice little money earner that! Thirdly the £150 taken at check-in on a card is a bit over the top. That is a lot of money to be holding and making inaccessible for someone to spend for a few days. And finally, the thing that needs most attention, is the service which was incredibly slow. There was only really one waitress in the area we sat in for our evening meal having to serve approximately 6-7 tables and around 20 people. The poor girl was rushed off her feet and therefore food was very slow to come out, some orders came out wrong and our bill was incorrect at the end. Kudos to the waitress for remaining unflustered though. This is such a unique hotel and we really enjoyed our stay but some real fine-tuning is needed to take this from average to excellent which is what I would have expected for the cost.
