Randomly looking for a hotel for the transition back home, it is very convenient to order takeout around, and the sound insulation of the room is average

The hotel rooms are all suites, with a kitchenette, comfortable living, surrounded by several parks, the environment is very good! There is a food court nearby with many Chinese restaurants.

The property was ok. Rooms were outdated and dirty. Bugs on the bed. Trash from the last guest and hair on the towels. Dirty and foul smell in fridge and micowave. I was given a upgrade to a two bedroom two bathrooms. Both bathrooms water did not go down and were also dirty. Pros Close to restaurants and bed was comfortable. I would never stay again. This was the worst Sonesta I have been to all over the world.

My first time staying at Markham area hotel. I chose Sonesta ES depending on my other experiences in US, the location there super convenience of dining and transportation also near 407 tollways. I like the supportive pillows so comfortable. They can earned five stars if provided high pressure shower. I recommend to everyone.

Check in was smooth. Room was clean, but both TV remotes wouldn't work and the toilet made a dripping noise all night. Overall, good clean experience.

Fairly clean and a comfortable bed, but understaffed so my check in was delayed, and room phone and coffee maker were not working.

Location is pretty good. Facility is alright. What put me off and question the cleanliness is that the garbage from previous guest were still in the garbage bins, used coffee grounds in the basket of the coffee maker.

Its good but the door going back from the swimming pool ..need someone to open.

1) Although the pool being separate from the hotel was different, it was not usable as it was too cold to have my kids walk to and fro especially if wet from swimming. 2) Initial check-in on Friday night, the hotel check-in attendant was visibly not happy being there and did not exude a welcoming attitude. 3) Hotel Front Desk (Dennisse) on the Saturday and Sunday day shift was very pleasant and professional. My wife brought up a concern of our 5 year son having a potential allergic reaction to the room should a cat may have been present in the room in past stays. Dennisse showed empathy and helped moved us to similar room that had a lower possibility of a guest having a cat in the room. Through out the process Dennisse made us feel valued as guests.

Friendly staff and very helpful . However place is Very basic. The rooms dont have even a bottle of water . They are supposed to provide tea bags and coffee and that was missing . Had to ask . They have a shop in the recption so that helps but one would expect atleast 1 complimentary bottle of water given thier rates Stayed 2 nights but they did not even clean the room or change the towels after the first night . Wont stay there again

People at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The breakfast included, the swimming pool and the gym were a plus. I was a bit disappointed by the size of the suite, a bit small for the price. Furnitures are a little bit old and the room would need a refresh. The sofa bed was very old, very uncomfortable and I believe not cleaned very often (lots of crumbs under). The stay was good but was expecting more for the price.
