Reviews of The Imperial Torquay

We booked a 1 night stay for New Years Eve and were very happy with everything. The room with a view was lovely . Warm & with tea coffee facilities & a comfy bed. The staff were all very friendly & accommodating and breakfast was plentiful in a lovely dining area with fab views. My only small grumbles would be that the furniture in the room needs an upgrade and there was a £10 charge for the car park .

Very reasonable price for rooms x2 compact doubles. Lovely views and breakfast. Bit of a steep road up to hotel from Torquay harbour,if walking.

The Imperial hotel is situated in a great location for access to torquay town and other surrounding interests, The staff were helpful and the parking was convenient we would stay there again. Mr/Mrs A Gaffney

Another wonderful stay. Reception staff warm and friendly. Upgraded to a sea view suite, lovely views over the bay, what a view to wake up to. Huge selection of fresh breakfast food, waiting staff very friendly and attentive.  Location is fantastic a few minutes walk down the hill to the harbour. Our 2nd stay at this hotel this year, 5 stays in total.

Very dated rooms. Swimming pool is also dated. My kids got asked to leave the pool even though they are 12 & 14 (old enough to be solo swimmers) after I left the pool before them.

The hotel entrance is lovely ans the room was nice, lovely sea view. A fridge in the room would have been a bonus. The pool and sauna and bar was also good. No hots drinks avaiable from 8.30pm, which was a surprise. The breakfast was disappointing.

The room appeared a little old, and the bathroom was not the cleanest, but the place itself was nice, with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a lovely garden, a sauna and gym equipments. The breakfast room had a fantastic view of the sea, and the choice of food was varied and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely atmosphere on entering , lovely sea view room , rooms are large but could do with a bit of updating , cols air coming through bedroom window, , had to use a towel to try and stop the breeze as it was a very cold night, service was terrible in the bar area and had to wait more than 10 minutes before going to speak to receptionist who came to serve , it was very quiet and no staff around, breakfast is good quality and plenty of choice with lovely sea view from restaurant.
