The design and furnishings of the hotel are very stylish. Each person is given a complimentary glass of red/white wine upon check-in. Photos can be taken on the rooftop stage. The scenery of the mountain town is unobstructed. The breakfast is also good. The Ibérico ham slices are really delicious😋, and the waiter will serve them fresh. Fruits are given out table by table😘. The only drawback is that the gym is quite small and one of the three machines happened to be broken, but the overall experience is good👍 and the room is comfortable and clean! Both the walkways and furnishings are full of design.

Let’s start with the positive. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms are fairly clean. And there is parking. Now the negative is out of the way and hard to find. Make sure you have Waze or another app. The rooms are small (I paid for an upgrade) I can’t imagine how small the other room are unless they just gave me a regular room and did not upgrade me. I have no way of knowing. Every furniture in the room is very cheap. The food was awful and expensive so I don’t recommend you eat at the hotel.
Response from Property: Dear Ana, First at all, thanks for your trust in Viura, regarding to your reviews about our location, recently we have managed to change the coodinates and now is really easy. We hope wellcome you next time in Rioja Alavesa. KInd regards

Hi, I was at your hotel and wanted to give this feedback: • When I was there, I proposed to discuss my following visit in April 2024, but you evening colleague (the evening we arrived), was not interested, she clearly preferred chatting with other of the staff. I found her quite rude, and the fact she said that the hotel doesn’t like groups on the week-end … • The same evening, we ate with our group of 23 people at your hotel, worst dinner we had of our week in Rioja, fish was dry, service was for from polite. • Rooms, some rooms incl mine don’t have curtains, but stores, which don’t close of the windows verry well. In summary, for someone likes me who spends at least 2 months a year in hotels, this was by far one of the worst. Hopefully someone in your management picks this up, fixes it.
Response from Property: Dear David We would like to explain you that your impression was due to a misunderstanding, In your arrival time with a big group , in front desk, they were talking about how to solve a room change that had to be made at the last minute and giving priority to the moment, they may not have attended to you with the maximum attention that you deserved, we are sorry that this happened. Kind regards Viura team

This is a stylish and modern designer hotel but still comfortable and cosy. The rooms are relatively large, the hotel offers access to a swimming pool and small gym. Otherwise there is a good restaurant, a bar and a wine bar. Nice wineries are also nearby like Luis Canas or Amaren. Highly recommended

This is absolutely not what you think. First of all it’s down a little tiny track next to an industrial building at the back of a village, it’s flanked by crappy buildings and not some of idyllic scene in the middle of Rioja. Check in was pleasant. Room upgrade as a gold member was nice- thank you. Has explained it was my birthday and our wedding anniversary but no special touches. Room was ok- if you want a concrete box with a mattress of similar substance this is the place for you. Bar was closed but we were kindly offered a welcome drink (thank you). Everything else on a Saturday was closed/ so we got a taxi with a FABULOUS driver called Martin who saved the day. Took us to where was open. Wine bar opened later but despite trying very very oak wine. Not great service. Flat ambience. Rooms uncomfortable with poor quality toiletries. Mattress was so hard. Wouldn’t come back. Also the roses are all dead. And it’s so noisy.

We stayed for two nights in Viura and loved every minute! Great hospitality with lots of help and welcoming homey touches by a great team, special thanks to Marcos! Room was modern and really big with amazing views, very stylish, clean and perfect terrace to end the day with a glass of Rioja. The entire house speaks art and culture. Many cool pieces of contemporary art and artifacts. We had dinner the first night, which was delicious and with nice local touches. Breakfast in the morning is sumptuous with nice treats from the bakery, fresh eggs and cold cuts and lots of fruit. Overall a 10 out of 10, we will definitely return!

This hotel is a must stay. From the moment we walked in we were blown away. The architecture was unique, a very modern take in a historic town. The service was fantastic. The breakfast that was included was delicious. Our rooms were beautiful and very spacious. It is worth getting the terrace rooms. We were close to many of the wineries we visited while still having the charm of a small town. I would 100% recommend you to stay here.

Interesting architecture. Polished Concrete and wood squeezed into a small village. Dinner and breakfast were good with excellent service. Room was cold and no sound insulation. Recommend don’t stay in room 301 as noise from lift foyer does not allow a decent nights sleep - door has no sound insulation!

What an interesting find in the middle of wine country. The hotel is very quirky and modern with wonderful art and gorgeous outdoor spaces. It was a bit sparse looking for my taste with concrete walls and floors, and the bathroom with a see-through purple plexiglas wall was very unusual. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The service was merely acceptable. The hotel was hard to find even with a GPS.

An interesting, quirky, funky hotel building in a little village of 500 inhabitants of which more than 40 families are in the wine business. A very pleasant, friendly check-in (older gentlemen) and we really felt welcome¸ he gave us lots of information on the area. Here it is all about wine-tasting. Booked a walking wine tasting tour visiting 3 bodegas ending up in our hotel Bodegas. We would highly recommend the tour (fun group of 7 persons all staying at the hotel). Very big room and big bathroom (all concrete and coloured glass in fitting with the "funky" look of the hotel) and small patio. Staying at the hotel (2 nights) makes for an interesting experience but I personally wouldn’t classify it as a 4-star - room for improvement! (no tissues, shower-cap, or usual toiletries, etc. no coffee-maker). Only water available in the mini-fridge. The dinner was well presented and service (with very good English) was good and attentive but we were disappointed in the food as such (ordered hake with vegetables and cod with red peppers). My partner ordered a starter (tomato salad which was good) and we assumed they would serve both main courses at the same time. However, my (unfortunately) too salty cod was served with his starter. The wine, can't remember the name (listed last under the red wine list was also disappointing. Something was “missing” and subsequently ordered dessert (gooey chocolate dessert which was good). We decided to eat out the second night which meant having to drive out of the little village. Free Hotel parking available.
