The Hotel at Dayton South Reviews

Passing by Dayton, the Air Force Museum is about half an hour away. There are many Chinese restaurants around. The dinner at Fumanlou is economical. The faucets in the hotel are a bit special to operate, but fortunately, they are equipped with a capable front desk lady who can solve the problem in time. You can make your own waffles for breakfast, which tastes good.

There were very few people at the hotel. For some reason they put people right next to our room that had two little kids and they were screaming and hollering until 11 o’clock at night. We were trying to get to sleep because we had to be up early the next morning.

In area couple times monthly...have stayed a few times ALWAYS a great stay. Overall cleanliness. Quietness. And the staff are very nice at the front desk.

One night stay of a trip- there was no signage anywhere around the hotel. Everything was just so-so - nothing great!

This property is an excellent value. If you are on business, want to keep expenses down, and really just need a place to lay your head, it’s perfect. Very friendly and efficient front desk staff (yay, Jessie). Note: there is no traditional housekeeping during your stay but as long as you know that, it’s all good.

It’s an older property, but it was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past four years. It’s always clean, well-staffed and safe. The staff is excellent. The parking lots are well-lit and safe. Never had a bad experience here in 4 years.

This property is reasonably priced for this market. I found the continental breakfast---both cold and hot---to be better than most hotels. This hotel is also reasonably close to attractions, shopping, entertainment, and food. The room was well maintained and clean. Although the staff was stretched thin, they more than made every effort to make sure my party and I enjoyed our stay. As a result, this is now my hotel of choice should I ever be in the Dayton area again.

They do NOT accept cash! I thought cash was KING? But again, across the steet is a car dealership that is always honking horns, squealing tires and engines revving

The hotel was great . Friendly knowledgeable staff. The hotel was very clean nice breakfast . The room was very clean and comfortable to stay in. The bedding was super clean and fresh smelling. Both beds passed the black lighttest. My family will be staying here again in the future.

I always stay here when traveling through on business. Safe and easy to get to and let ya of shopping and dinning within a 5 minute drive

When we arrived, the desk clerk was on her personal cell phone with a sign up stating she was with a customer. When she saw me, she came to the desk, never smiled or said hello. When we got to the room, it smelled. We realized we had booked an accessible room, which we did not want. We went to ask for another room. She told us there would be a $20 charge for a different room, still not smiling. While we made the switch, some of her friends came in and she became a different person! She smiled and laughed with them. When we got to our new room, she had written the wrong number on our room keys. We had to figure it out for ourselves. The room was fine. Breakfast was good and the gentleman in charge of the area was great! He made sure everything was just right!

The beds were very comfortable, the place very clean. The breakfast was convenient and had more options than we anticipated. The front desk person was new, but very friendly and seemed to have caught on quite quickly. We were very pleased with our stay.
