Absolutely no better place to when in PEC. The rooms are large, clean, and very well equipped. The location is bang on and the staff are excellent! The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with all of the essentials you need while travelling.

Our stay at Drake Motor Inn was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a reception team and manager who exuded warmth and hospitality. Their genuine interest in engaging us in conversation made us feel incredibly welcome.As travelers with a pet, we were delighted to find that Drake Motor Inn is pet-friendly. The spacious rooms provided ample space for our furry friend to relax, and being just minutes away from the lake made it the perfect location for scenic walks and outdoor activities.We can't wait to return for another fantastic stay!

Perfect spot for a visit to the County! Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Easy parking and several dining options within walking distance.

We stayed mid-week October and couldn't have picked a better time of year - OFF SEASON really is amazing or a better place as home base for a few days. Our room was #3 in the green building and was a STUDIO KING on the first floor. Has a cute little porch with a swing and had it been a bit warmer would have loved to have enjoyed a drink on our little patio. There was very little noise from anywhere else either in the building or around the property. The app access worked for my husband, but not I due to my phone being 'too' up to date for the key app, so not a big deal, but a bit annoying. The room has a fun, funky and cozy vibe. The shower is large and you can enjoy both a rain shower or hand held, but the best part is the toiletries both in the shower and at the sink - such a great perk and really great quality products (especially as i have long thick hair and the shampoo/conditioner worked very well). The bed and linens were soft and the pillows provided great support - that's always a worry. The welcome cookies were a lovely touch. We enjoyed being able to walk down to the Devonshire for breakfast each morning. We would definitely return as it's a great location with such a fun vibe, the room was everything we needed.

We stayed one night while attending a wedding at the Drake Devonshire (which we’ve also stayed at a few times and love!). We wanted to try out the Motor Inn this time and it was fab. Our only regret was that we barely spent any time in the awesome room during our stay. Bed was super comfy, room was clean and we will definitely be back

Nice room but probably twice as expensive as should be. Disappointed with the scone “breakfast”, we had to share 3 small dry pieces amongst 4 guests. No staff at the site. AC super loud but no ability to open windows for airflow when switched off.

Because I booked on ******* none of the contactless check in process worked - this should be rectified. The mattress in the pull out bed was horrible - ended up putting it in the floor. Drake should do better.

I appreciated the effort put into making the Drake Motor Inn cool to look at in photos, it’s fun and kitschy to see. The room itself was quite basic. The bathrooms might have seemed like a good idea on paper but the glass door means you have no privacy and the door is open air at the top so all manner of sound and smell can be witnessed from the bedroom area. Some things should just be ideas-they don’t work for life. The experience down at Devonshire is probably far superior to the motor inn experience; there is no front desk there or staff to answer questions. The phone, tv and Wi-Fi were all non-functional so no way to call the front desk at the Devonshire to get help, and our phones didn’t get cell signal inside the room. The front desk at Devonshire never once answered our call live, we had to leave a message and wait for a return call. We even tried emailing them to get a response and the answers were delayed by a long wait. They finally told us the whole building was without internet services and there was no ETA. It looked as though it had been out for several days but no effort was made to tell us until we asked for it to be fixed. The room had a vast supply of minibar items including candy, drinks and wine but there was no price list to be found to determine what charges you’d find on your card afterward. Overall would never stay again or recommend for the price. (400/night)

Room was lovely! We didnt feel like 2nd class citizens because we had our dog with us. They also accomodated us for dinner on the patio. Wonderful visit!

Great for a little getaway! Love the details with the Drake motor inn. They had a bonfire set up and they gave us a free s’mores kit which was really nice. Whenever we needed something, we would text the reception and they would get things to us speedily. Great for a friends giveaway.

The room was beautifully decorated with a retro-chic aesthetic. Loved the coziness of the room and common area. Unfortunately, I took a star off for the king sized bed. It was too soft and there were noticeable indentations from prior use. This place is dog friendly if you’ve got a fur baby!

I liked the room but it was up the street not attached to restaurant. Food is great . You hear everything in rooms , late night partners beside us… we had to text at 2:00 in the am to get help! expensive rooms!

This is a 4.5 star rating. Stayed at the STUDIO KING room #10. This room is located in the blue building which is the colourful one you see behind the Drake Motor Inn Sign. Only four other rooms occupy this building and so you won’t see too much foot traffic besides the other guests staying at the Inn. This room is very spacious and has its own large porch that faces Wharf Street. It’s also pretty quiet given that it faces a residential area and although the near the brewery, noise was never an issue and overall it was a very pleasant stay. Positives: - very clean and modern/trendy - huge washroom and shower area - great art in the room, halls, surrounding area - location is steps to great restaurants the water, markets etc - communal area for each building and between buildings is great to hangout and sheltered if the weather is raining. - linens were clean and very comfortable - nice welcome cookies and very attentive staff via the app/text messages and at the Devonshire - complimentary morning coffee is a great way to start the day - bathroom toiletries smelled great - phone app key system worked really well - lots of parking spaces Negatives (which are very minor) - shower water pressure is good but nothing like you would get at home - mattress is lumpy (I believe by design cause it’s a fancy mattress brand) just a preference. The communal spaces and intimacy of the inn made this such a great experience. It was nice to meet other guests by the fire pit and share and swap tips about restaurants and wineries. Given how central and great the location is the inn it also served as a meeting hub for friend staying in other parts of the county. The overall atmosphere you get as soon as you walk into your room and relax on your private porch is well worth the price paid and it would be a recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience in Wellington.

This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I have stayed at dozen of hotels around the province and I highly recommend this place.
