Maria is a great host, very friendly and the place is very well maintained with artistic touches.

This is THE CLEANEST and friendliest B&B place i have seen in New Zealand. Maria, the host, takes meticulous care of the house and all her guests, her breakfasts are legendary among lucky travellers spending a night or five At Parkland Place. The place is very conveniently located 100 meters from the beach and only a very short drive from Whitianga shops. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back.

A lovely place to stay for 4 nights. The room was large and comfortable, the shower excellent, and toiletries all provided. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived and nothing was too much for Maria and her husband, who was happy to cook for us on the BBQ.. Beautiful surroundings, only 2 minutes from the 3/4 mile beached town

Our stay at Parkland Place was great from beginning to end. Maria greeted us cordially when we arrived and provided a brief orientation. We had a comfortable bedroom, bed, pillows and well appointed private bath. The breakfasts were top notch. Fresh fruits, juices, multiple choices on bread for toast, eggs, cold meats and cheese, cereals, coffee or tea to your preference. Both Maria and Guy were readily available for questions or ideas about what to do in the area. Quiet, clean and classy home. We can’t say enough about how positive our experience was. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent B&B. Maria and Guy welcoming warm and attentive hosts. Gorgeous property. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast is above and beyond. It is a 3 to 4 km walk to the main restaurant area but it is along the beach front pathway and easy to do., We would definitely return.

Reviews we read beforehand were accurate. Maria, the owner ,was the a real character and most certainly " the boss". Located a little off the township in a very quiet road near the beach it offered so much. Great breakfast. Nice little touches . Nearby kitchen with a small honesty box bar with tea and coffee facilities. A lovely place to stay and recharge your batteries!

This is a lovely b&b. Maria is so welcoming and attentive. Breakfast is outstanding. She brings you a basket with fresh towels, water and chocolate every day. We had the honeymoon suite and it has a lovely private porch where you can sit outside and enjoy the river and wildlife. Short walk to the beach and under 2 miles to town center. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful stay this is the spot.

I travelled with my teenage daughter. The B n B was safe, tidy, homely, close to the beach and the layout and amenities were awesome. The breakfast was healthy, fresh, good variety and the dining room was welcoming. Maria has exceptional customer service, she’s always on hand for everything you need. If you want a home from home with a caring hostess I can’t recommend Parkland place highly enough.

This is such a lovely B&B. The hosts, Guy and Maria, are very welcoming and serve an excellent breakfast. Maria offers reasonably-priced massage services as well. It's a bit of a walk from downtown, although you can't beat the path along the ocean. I really liked this place and the hosts, and Whitianga is lovely.

Great stay at the end of our trip to the north island. Maria and Guy were very friendly and helpful during our stay. They both offered lots of suggestions of hidden gems to visit as well as the main attractions. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning by Maria and there was lots of choice. There is a kitchen area for guests to use which was great. Just a short drive or approx 30min walk on the beach from Whitianga, this B&B was very peaceful and relaxing.

At Parkland Place is a lovely, quaint B & B a few minutes from the Whitiangi Wharf. Maria was the utmost host, with a lovely Polish breakfast set out in the morning. Room was clean & worked for our 1 night stay. Would recommend to couples wanting a night away

This is one of the most spotlessly clean places we have ever stayed. Maria was an excellent host—delightful personality and focused on making us comfortable.

Maria was an absolute star of a host. She said she has been in business for 27 years and its obvious why - she has created a beautiful space, and served a wonderful breakfast. B&B done right!
