Ellerbrook House is a perfect location to explore the lake district without a car. It is within walking distance of Bowness, the village of Windermere and the Windermere train station. The room was very clean, comfortable and a great value. Rob and Becky were the perfect hosts, very personable and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was always delicious and a great time to meet fellow travelers. Rob was a wealth of knowledge on things to do in the area, suggestions that catered to our interests. Our stay in the lake district was definitely 5 stars all the way around!

What a perfectly located and lovely place to stay. Rob and Becky were so helpful and Rob certainly knew the fells in the lake district and local info with buses and boats. Room was perfect for a 2 night stay, very clean and well stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits. Even a decent television in the room. Location is about 15 mins walk to Bowness and 10 mins walk to Windermere with lots of choice for restaurants and bars. Main bus from Bowness to Grasmere via Ambleside is 3 mins walk. Breakfast was excellent and overall stay was great value for money.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Ellerbrook house. Hosts Rob and Becky were so welcoming and fabulous hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. Ellerbrook was central to all the local amenities . The room was spotlessy clean, bed was very comfortable and bedding was top quality. Breakfast choice was great and the products used were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Would highly recommend Ellerbrook house.

Really great guest house. Kind hosts, good room - and newly refurbished bathroom really good. Perfect breakfast. Able to park outside. Short walk to the town centre. Great to have a sofa in the room.

Felt very comfortable and the owners were so pleasant and friendly. Room was bright and spacious and was stocked well with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits. Thoughtful little touches in room like tissue box, wine glasses, do not disturb sign. Breakfast lovely in bright front room and offered cereals, selection of cooked food and fruit and yoghurts, apple juice, orange juice, tea, coffee.

Luvly people, who own the property our room was very small but very clean, Breakfast was nice, Garden which was at the front of the house was small no access to the back garden.personally I wouldn't go back.. sorry, decide for yourselves 😔...

An excellent two night stay at Ellerbrook House. The top floor Room 9 is spacious and well equipped with a double and single bed. A superb nights sleep in comfy beds. A high-quality full English breakfast on both mornings served by delightful hosts ! … many thanks !

Very convenient location to access restaurants etc. Friendly hosts. Road parking seemed feasible. We'd stay again.

Spotlessly clean place and the owners really friendly, ideal base for exploring Windermere and it's surroundings. Breakfast choice was excellent really can't fault this place

Both Rob and Becky were very welcoming and friendly during our visit. Breakfast was excellent. The place itself is perfectly clean and had really comfy beds. Location was spot on and only a 5 minute walk to Windermere. Plenty of walks and activities to do in the local area too.

I had an amazing stay! The bed and sheets were very comfortable and the room was really clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and Becky and Rob were wonderful hosts. They made great suggestions when my tour was cancelled at the last minute and we’re very thoughtful and kind.

My first experience in the Lakes was made extra special by my amazing hosts rob and Becky I went there for my birthday and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome they even took me out for a birthday meal as I was there by myself I was touched by the gesture and had a beautiful evening. The breakfast was lovely and the accommodation itself was very comfortable and I had everything I needed in my room Rob offered to take me out in his canoe and it was such an amazing experience something I hadn’t done in 30 years! They were there to advise and help with whatever I needed and nothing was too much trouble for Rob or Becky The location is brilliant a short walk from station and various bus routes around the Lakes I will definitely stay at their guest house again.
