"Me and wife had a opportunity to have a night away after having child free and no work commitments for the weekend so we decided to have a last minute night away in the lake district. Applegarth has always been on a must visit of mine for a while being on a must stay list for the past few years with there reviews they have had and I must say we were not disappointed! We booked a 1 night last minute stay in Luxury Room 17. We had arranged a early check in, late check out through there website which I would highly recommend. We arrived to be greeted by Suzanne with a warm welcome. The hotel is a truly family run hotel and you are greeted like family friend which is a lovely touch. She explained where are room was and any questions or recommendations she was happy to advise, she also invited us to dine in the onsite restaurant but was not pushy with the invite either. Once we got to are room we were really impressed spotless and well thought out with local complementary products (tea, coffee, toiletries and chocolate). The room sports a super king bed which provided one of the best night sleep I've had as I don't sleep very well in hotels but no complaints with this one. The bathroom has a waterfall shower above the double spar bath which made good use of a narrow bathroom layout. We will be rebooking once we get a childfree/work free weekend planned but will be stay for longer as we really enjoyed our stay!!"

"The location is superb, with the pier just down the hill through the garden. It's quick to get to Ambleside, Orrest Head, and go horseback riding. The staff were very polite. My family room even had air conditioning, which saved me during the heatwave. However, the room didn't have a phone (my friend's room did), so I couldn't contact the front desk."

SPA facilities has not been used, but seems not bad. Suggest to extend the closing time till 8 PM or 9PM to facilitate visitors after the sightseeing around Lake District."

"Having stayed in many establishments in the Lake District over the past 50 years I can safely say that this was my favourite place of them all! The location is peaceful and stunningly beautiful. The hotel was faultless in our opinion and the staff without exception simply lovely. Add to all of this the wonderful food on offer and you have a little bit of heaven. I am not sure that we will stay anywhere else in the Lake District from now."

The bedroom was wonderful, authentic but with full modern facilities and views from room 11 are exceptional. The food served in the restaurant was excellent with wide choice and high quality. "Just home from a lovely one night getaway staying at the beautiful Beaumont Boutique. Such a lovely warm welcome for us and such a beautiful room for my birthday treat. Wonderful location central for discovering all Windermere has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bed so comfy I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was also wonderful. Highly recommend as we had such a lovely stay. We would most definitely stay again."

"Lovely stay at Lakeside. This is my second visit, this time I took my elderly father for two days. The staff were extremely helpful in accommodating his needs and requests for menu adjustments. They also upgraded our rooms which was lovely. Weather was also very kind to us and the hawkshead bitter was very welcome. Highly recommended."

"Location: About 10 minutes walk from Windermere Railway Station. It's downhill on the way there and uphill on the way back. It's quite close. The accommodation is self-service, with access control, no elevator, you need to carry your own luggage, up to the third floor The room is quite big, the hygiene is OK, the hot water is a little slow, and the room has heating The hotel breakfast (8:30-9:30) is pretty good, with a variety of choices. You can fill it out one day in advance and put it on the table at the entrance. On our last day, we needed to catch the bus early, so we asked the hotel staff to prepare breakfast for us on the way. The service attitude was very good."
