This place has a 5 ☆ rating so was expecting a lot I guess for what would have been £140 without my *********** discount. Arrived at 3pm to find a kids party going on and also had difficulty parking. Was informed it was the owners grandkids party but was not the relaxing atmosphere we expected and a simple communication from the host would have been good so that we could check in later after the party. We were upgraded to an apartment when we only wanted a room which would have been good if there had been milk provided to make tea and coffee and also Mark told us there were croissants left for us and there were none. Whilst the room was luxurious there were cobwebs everywhere, the shower barely trickled out and the sink was tiny and poorly designed considering the size of the bathroom. The sauna that we were told we could use is outside the breakfast room and adjacent to the carpark so there wouldn't have been much privacy. And to top it off I ordered a full English which came without BACON which was clearly listed as a breakfast item with no reason/apology.There was no one about when we needed milk and had to ring to get some and it was only early evening.Ive stayed in a lot of B and Bs and payed a lot less for so much better.Wouldnt go again.

What a gem Marley House is. We stayed in the Apartment. Everything was excellent, super comfortable bed. We also had our 2 dogs with us. It was lovely to stay in such a beautiful B & B. The back garden was enclosed, totally dog proof, as one of our dogs is an escape artist, it was so nice being able to let them run about, knowing he couldn't get out. Jan and Mark were very good hosts. Short Drive to Durdle Door. Would certainly stay again, and recommend the place very highly.

This was our second visit to Marley House. Its the perfect holiday retreat for luxury and comfort and to bring your dogs who are made to feel very welcome. Jan and Mark make you feel like you are home from home. Breakfasts are wonderful. We had the apartment which was a great space for us and our two golden retrievers. The rooms are luxurious and so comfortable you would never know dogs are allowed in the rooms so cleaned impeccably before arrival. The house has lots of history and it is set in a quiet village just a short drive from the world famous Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Mark was extremely helpful when our car broke down and arranged a repair with a local garage within 24 hours so our holiday could continue. This will be a regular holiday destination for us and Gracie and Xanthe who are also given very posh treats as a welcome gift.

We recently had our first family trip away and I found Marley House online and it looked like the ideal location to celebrate my mums 80th birthday. It didn’t disappoint. Mark, Jan and everyone at Marley House , including George and Doris the dogs, made us feel incredibly welcome and at ease at their beautiful home. We are pretty disorganised as a family, not making any arrangements to get to the location of the B&B but Mark immediately came to our rescue, picking us up from the station. Upon arrival the beauty of the location and where we were staying did not go unnoticed. Our rooms were lovely, spacious with beautiful views of the garden. The nights are very quiet there so you really feel you can recuperate from the frenetic life of reality to a peaceful life of total relaxation. In the mornings you’re greeted withe pastries and fruit followed by a hearty English breakfast using locally sourced produce. Mark and Jan are amazing hosts. The team at Marley House instinctively know when you’ll need them and when to give you privacy. They are a fabulous personification of the beauty, kindness and friendliness of Dorset, a truly magical place.

We were lucky enough to book a week at Marley House. Our apartment was well equipped and beautifully decorated. The super king bed was comfortable and we slept like logs! Our dog was welcomed and even received a goody bag! I must say that our hosts, Jan and Mark were the most welcoming people that we have had the pleasure in meeting. The breakfast and service was fab, set us up each day! We will definitely go back to Marley House as soon as we can! Thank you J&M

We had a nice stay here this weekend, very warm welcome. The house is very nice the gardens are very pretty. Very nice they offer you you use of lounge area during your stay. The bedroom could have done with a bit of TLC the paintwork looked a bit tired in places, some of the furniture had chips out of it but the shower was awful, no pressure so I struggled to rinse my hair with the trickle that came out. Whilst I didn’t expect aircon in a place like this, I would have expected at least a fan in the cupboard to use, it was very hot in the bedroom even with the windows open at night. There is a hot tub but the location is not ideal on the side of the car park. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of hot and cold options. Mark was a very lively character entertaining everyone at breakfast.

Spent 4 nights here in June and had a fantastic time . The property is well located for the local sights ( you will need a car as you will is most of this area ) Jan and Mark were the most welcoming of hosts despite arriving late in the evening - and always made us feel comfortable and at home . The room was comfortable and large - with a beautiful view over the gardens . Breakfasts were always 10/10 . Thanks for a great stay .

The highlight of Marley House, for me, was sitting in their beautiful, unstructured garden with a cuppa - or indeed a glass of wine! Perfect setting with the church bell chiming. It gets no better! The village of Winfrith Newburgh is also very special and so pretty. We could happily live there! Jan and Mark made us very welcome and we would like to return. Thank you to you both.
