The location is excellent, right at the entrance of Gong Alley in Sanfang Qixiang. It's super convenient to get to by subway, less than a 10-minute walk.
The hotel itself is full of ancient charm, and the two small courtyards in the middle are quite delightful and atmospheric. The staff are all very warm and attentive.
The rooms are all traditional wooden structures, and since it's located within a scenic area, if you're sensitive to noise, I'd recommend contacting the hotel in advance to arrange your room location.

What an amazing find of a nice cosy hotel with hard to match friendly hospitality and home atmosphere. It's located in a quiet and easy to get to street with easy accessibilty.
As it's our first time here we found the assistance accorded tremendously helpful. Whether it's with places of interest to visit or favourable restaurants the recommendations were spot-on. We also found the friendly advice of local culture useful. The tea sessions with the landlord are memorable.
We highly recommend a stay at this hotel if you should be thinking of making a visit to this region. We very much look forward to our next visit.

Gulangyu Liuyue Hotel, full marks, highly recommended! ✨
For accommodation on Gulangyu, look no further than Liuyue! The location is superb, very close to Sunlight Rock, and just a short walk to the beach. It's incredibly convenient for exploring, dining, and getting around.
The environment is elegant and clean, and the rooms are tidy and comfortable. The sea view rooms offer an incredible view; open the window and you're greeted by the sea and lush greenery – so peaceful and therapeutic.
The service is incredibly thoughtful. They send you the island arrival route in advance, and the staff are warm and patient, giving very helpful recommendations for routes and local food.
Overall, the value for money is excellent. It's quiet and not noisy, and the stay was a perfect experience. This is definitely the top choice for Gulangyu, you won't be disappointed! 💯

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! This European-style villa completely exceeded my expectations and added countless wonderful memories to our trip.
The exterior of the villa is very grand, with classic European lines and vintage lighting, making it feel as if we were instantly transported to a charming European town. The surrounding environment is serene and quiet, offering great privacy without feeling isolated.
Stepping inside was even more delightful! The interior decoration is exquisite and elegant, brimming with a strong artistic ambiance. The fireplace in the living room (even if decorative), the spiral staircase, and the vintage furniture all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The villa manager was incredibly thoughtful, responding promptly to communications and offering many helpful tips for local sightseeing. They made our stay feel as warm and welcoming as coming home.

Stepping through the wooden doors of Shangqing Tower, nestled in Huitong Lane off West Street, you're immediately immersed in the ancient charm of Southern Fujian. This guesthouse, transformed from a Qing Dynasty ancestral home, boasts authentic red brick tiles and swallowtail ridges, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling main street. It’s incredibly therapeutic.
Both the front and back courtyards have their unique appeal. The front courtyard, with its stone table and rattan chairs, is perfect for enjoying tea and casual chats. The back courtyard, featuring white sand and lush greenery, exudes a strong sense of Zen. Our duplex room was very comfortable, with wooden furniture blending seamlessly with ancient beams. The tatami tea corner by the window offered a cozy spot for relaxation. Smart devices allowed for voice control, perfectly combining modern comfort with ancient elegance.
The family breakfast in the morning was wonderfully authentic. Plus, it's just a few minutes' walk to West Street, Kaiyuan Temple, and the Bell Tower, making it super convenient for sightseeing and grabbing a bite. Every detail of the guesthouse shows thoughtful care. You can truly experience the historical essence of Quanzhou while enjoying a comfortable stay. If you want to deeply immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the old city, this is definitely the place to choose.

The hotel's location is excellent, with a bus stop right outside, which is very convenient. The room was also very clean. The landlady, in particular, had an outstanding service attitude. If I visit Xiamen again, I will definitely choose this place.

Spending a night at Changdi Inn, nestled in the heart of the historic Hongkeng Tulou Cluster, was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my Xiamen trip. The inn is located within a centuries old Hakka earthen building, and the moment you step inside, you will be instantly transported back in time.
The stay offers an immersive look into traditional Hakka culture and architecture, surrounded by thick earthen walls, wooden beams, and antique details that speak volumes of the past. What mak it extra special was meeting the friendly innkeeper, a 6th generation descendant of the family that built and preserved this Tulou. He shared stories and local insights making the whole experience even more meaningful.
The room was simple yet clean and comfortable, blending rustic charm with basic modern comforts. I got to enjoy authentic Hakka meals, lovingly prepared and bursting with homestyle flavor, perfect after a day of exploring.
Waking up in the peaceful village setting, watching the locals go about their daily lives, and hearing the birds chirping outside, it's a rare, soulful escape from the city.

Choosing Jiaye Mountain House for this trip was absolutely the best decision! I was actually a bit hesitant at first, mainly because the promotional photos on Trip.com looked a bit too oversaturated and high-contrast, almost making it seem a little... tacky? But then I clicked on the reviews and saw how highly everyone rated it, so I booked two nights. It definitely exceeded my expectations! It's so beautiful and comfortable! The entire estate is just wonderfully relaxing. Everyone I encountered, from the gate guard and the young lady at the front desk to the girl serving tea, was warm, enthusiastic, meticulous, and thoughtful. I had breakfast twice, and the steamed buns with meat and the date cakes were incredibly delicious! I also had dinner once, and the beef taro and loach pot were also good; I finished every grain of rice. In short, it's perfect for someone like me who's looking for a secluded, healing escape. If you're after a lively atmosphere or want to visit many tourist spots, I don't think this place would be quite right. For me, just staying on the estate, strolling around, looking at things, and drinking tea was wonderfully relaxing. And right outside is Scenic Route No. 1, making it quite convenient to wander over to Xingcun.

CCongcongbucongcongLocated within the scenic area, the environment is exceptionally pleasant with fresh air. There's even a small waterfall in the courtyard, and a rooftop viewing platform offering a panoramic view of the main peak. The tea here is also very fragrant, and you can borrow teaware at any time. A bus stop is right next door, making transportation quite convenient.
GGuest UserThe B&B is a modern building built on the top of the hillside, imitating square surrounding buildings. There is a large patio in the middle, with table tennis table and simple blue ball rack. You can avoid the wind and play badminton. It is suitable for group building activities and hobby sports or leisure vacation tourists. The location of the homestay is very fresh, the tap water is also mountain spring water, no need to buy bottled water.
The proprietress's family is very hospitable, carefully provides travel guides to the surrounding attractions, and the service is warm and thoughtful. The meals provided by the homestay, order in advance, serve the food and ask the guests to come down to the restaurant to open dinner, the meal and breakfast taste good, and the price is affordable.
This homestay impressed me with Nanjing tourism.

XXihuanfeixiangdezhuOverall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
GGuest UserI only given an Honest opinion of our stay, let start with a positive note the staff was very friendly & helpful also very close to main hubs . Lucky I can speak Chinese otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get into our room due to code changed by the owner also if you can’t understand Chinese you won’t be able to find this place at all, I’d to ask 3 or 4 people to find this place because is situated inside an alley way for local residents it’s not a hotel it’s more like a Airbnb. We were given room no.2 on the ground floor which was reek with cigarette smells from receptionist area & people next door the room smells really bad from sewerage poor ventilation Very noisy neighbors talking loudly till late, the wall must be paper thin, our bed was really hard you can feel every spring , we believe it’s the base of the bed they were using by mistake because western bed came in 2 segments bottom a hard spring & top are soft without springs, we were so uncomfortable in that bed we couldn’t sleep the whole night also due to noise from nearby. The deco was ok in the room thanks God the aircon works well by the way there is NOT a single hook you can hang your clothes.

GGuest UserOnly those who understand Gulangyu will choose this place. Located in the center of the island, not in the bustling downtown, it is convenient and free from the hustle and bustle of the commercial city. Needless to say, Chuncaotang is beautiful. Chuncaofan is from the same family as it. Just below Chuncaotang, Gulangyu's only open-air swimming pool and sightseeing elevator were moved into his private residence. Here you can feel the comfortable, refined and elegant life of our ancestors. It is very worthwhile, and I also want to give a big thumbs up to the housekeeper👍
Yy0shimiPros
Receptionist is very friendly and responsible. I arrived after 17 hrs of travelling and my room wasn't ready yet. So she gave me a temp room to rest while they get ready my room
I was feeling a little sick with headache and slight fever so I asked if they could assist me to get some medications, she gave me some of hers to coop with the pain while I was waiting for my local friend to get off work and buy me some.
The views are amazing with the sea breeze and close proximity to the beach.
They used disposable towels so definitely more hygienic.
Cons
Room is a little old so some of the items aren't working well. The switch board is a little shaky and USB ports don't work.
There's some cracks on the floor (doesn't affect me but the kinda affect the overall feel of the room)
Hangers available but in old stage. Cabinets are a little outdated and need some touching up
Plus points
Butler service is very convenient for communicating with the hotel
I asked for an hour extension which they gladly gave me (really appreciate that)
Smart toilet to save my **** from freezing

SShiahanga!A hundred faints! ! ! Living in an earth building is a very special experience (many earth buildings in scenic spots do not allow people to go upstairs, so you have to pay to go upstairs! You can live here directly). I came here before the National Day. I was very lucky that only two people stayed in the entire earth building. , Hahaha, very quiet and a great experience! The store did a great job in upgrading the room type. I would like to praise the lady at the front desk by name! The person was super nice and even gave us grapefruits and recommended the itinerary in great detail! Went to Tianluokeng to see the rice terraces which were very beautiful! A great experience

温温姑娘What an amazing experience! It was so cool to actually stay inside a Tulou. I was lucky that my room even had an en-suite bathroom! The owner was incredibly kind; they waited up for me despite my very late check-in. Since I specifically traveled all the way from Taiwan, the owner thoughtfully lit up the beautiful red lanterns for me, which looked absolutely stunning in photos! They also helped me take pictures and booked my bus ticket down the mountain. They truly go above and beyond to care for their guests! A huge thank you to the owner! I had such a wonderful time. If I get the chance, I'll definitely bring my family and friends to visit again!
