ALOR SETAR, MALAYSIA - Day Trip (from Hat Yai) Alor Setar is a city in Kedah, Malaysia, perfect for shopping and enjoying local cuisine. It boasts several leading department stores. 🚆Today, we'll take you on a short day trip from Hat Yai. Travel by car to Padang Besar and then take the high-speed train from Malaysia to Kedah. 🍜 Start your trip by feasting on Chinese cuisine with a local twist at Bakul Cheh Cha. 🍦After dinner, you can walk to Aman Central, a short walk away. The highlight of our trip was the delicious ice cream from llaollao (although there were always long queues). Just outside the mall, you can walk across the street to Alor Setar Tower. This 44-story, 165.5-meter (543-foot) telecommunications tower is located in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia. It's the third tallest tower in Malaysia, the tallest building in the state, and the tallest in the city. It's a must-see viewpoint.
