Uluwatu Temple Bali

Uluwatu Temple is a leading tourist destination in Bali that offers an alluring charm. This temple is located on a cliff as high as 97 meters and juts into the ocean.This temple, which is located at the southwest tip of the island of Bali, on a steep and high rock platform jutting into the sea, is the Sad Kayangan Temple, which is believed by Hindus as a buffer from the 9 winds. This temple was originally used as a place to worship a holy priest from the 11th century named Empu Kuturan.This temple is also used to worship the next holy priest, namely Dang Hyang Nirartha,who came to Bali at the end of 1550 and ended his holy journey with what is called Moksa or Ngeluhur in this place.In front of the temple there is a small forest called alas kekeran, which functions as a buffer for the sanctity of the temple.
