The interior consists of eight main thematic exhibition areas: 'Preface Hall', 'Natural Landscape', 'Historic Cultural City', 'Overall Planning', 'High-Quality Development', 'High-Quality Life', 'Inland Opening Highland', 'Beautiful Land of Clear Mountains and Water', as well as auxiliary exhibition areas. The Planning Exhibition Hall has three floors, with a spacious hall where you can take photos and learn about Chongqing's past and present. On the first floor, there are specially designed photo zones and interactive experience areas, with introductions and landscape displays of Chongqing's various districts and counties behind them. Taking the escalator to the second floor, you'll see a stilted building-style landscape, and then a light rail comes into view. On the right-hand side, there's a huge sand table display, not only of the Chongqing area but also of Chongqing's modern development and future planning, allowing for a deeper understanding of Chongqing. The thematic exhibition areas mainly use a variety of display forms such as flat panels, multimedia screens, interactive platforms, large and small models, and reconstructed scenes to highlight important exhibits like the main urban area sand table, Chongqing historical immersive space, old Chongqing reconstructed atrium, 'Flying Over Chongqing' cinema, grand auditorium large model, VR cinema, etc., showcasing Chongqing's planning in all aspects, as well as Chongqing's mountains, rivers, culture, customs, development achievements, and more.
