Lushunkou

The Lushunkou scenic area offers free admission after 5 pm for sunset viewing! It's known on the map as the Lushunkou Scenic Area, or the Naval Port Park. Most attractions in Lushun charge an entrance fee, which is quite outrageous. Fortunately, admission is free after 5 pm, a fact not widely known unless you've done your research or are a local. The area is quite small, designed in the shape of an aircraft carrier, with some artificial airplane models. A 20-minute stroll is more than enough. It's definitely not worth the full price of 30 yuan, and even less so if you're not there for the sunset. The last two photos were taken from behind the Submarine Museum (with an exorbitant ticket price of 110 yuan). The nearby battery shown on the map is no longer open to the public, so there's no need to visit that anymore.
