Ramada by Wyndham Downtown Dubai

#thingstodo Had a wonderful 8 days holiday in Dubai and stayed at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and amenities excellent. The view of Burj Khalifa and fountain shows every night was a plus. Also having our own washer and dryer made a big difference. A plus point was the food, breakfast and room service and off course having Starbucks in the lobby has guaranteed a return visit. Uber pickups are literally minutes away and being right next door to the Dubai mall was also a strong point. The hotel management, staff and services were above and beyond. The travel desk even helped us get our visa's. What more can you ask for. My family and I had a great time Well equipped, clean apartments with a bit retro fashioned design. Everything works and zero insects. Lot of UK power outlets, but only 1 universal, so if you need more US/EU ports then bring your adapters or you can buy one at the Spinney's market located next to the building (maybe the hotel can give you some, we have not asked). We were in an amazing fountain view room with balcony, easy upgrade would be possible to fountain + Burj Khalifa view but those rooms does not have a balcony (we preferred the fresh air and clean view). Staff is very friendly and helpful. WiFi is OK in the room and somewhat weaker on the balcony. The breakfast is tasty and has a great selection of various foods/fruits/drinks. Note that no alcoholic beverages are served in the entire hotel. Usually there are very few people at the pool and it's water is warm enough even for kids. Walking towards the Opera it is about 10 mins to reach the Burj Khalifa and 15 mins to Dubai Mall. Overall it was a great experience.
