DISPLAY OF MAORI CULTURE AND PEOPLE

The Otago Museum showcases artifacts of the Maori people, who are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand, originally and formerly known as ‘’Aoetearoa’’. This Maori section of the museum is right across from the Pacific section, so you can see how that flows really well and creates a smooth transition as you walk through the museum.
