Qinling's Autumn Splendor—Lingguan Gorge

Upon arriving in Feng County, one naturally wants to visit Lingguan Gorge. The motivation comes from Du Pengcheng's novel 'A Night Walk Through Lingguan Gorge'. Lingguan Gorge is located 5km off National Highway 316 in Caodian Village, southwest of Feng County, at the border of Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. It is the first gorge on the Jialing River. The Baoji-Chengdu Railway snakes through it, with ancient paths hidden deep in the wild grass and shrubs. The Jialing River flows quietly, a bay of clear water reflecting the blue sky and white clouds, and the vegetation on the high mountains on both sides is dyed with the deep autumn colors, presenting a splendid and colorful scene that is breathtakingly beautiful. According to historical research, the poet Du Fu passed through here on his way from Chang'an to Sichuan. Of course, he must not have been in the mood for sightseeing. Thanks to the Baoji-Chengdu Railway and 'A Night Walk Through Lingguan Gorge', Lingguan Gorge has been endowed with some modern industrial civilization. It is currently operated as a 3A scenic area, with the themes of 'railway heritage, leisure oxygen bar, and ancient Qiang culture'. Driving to the entrance of the scenic area, one is greeted by a desolate and lonely scene, with few visitors entering. Almost everyone chooses to stroll along the riverside road without prior arrangement. The gorge extends into the depths of the Qinling Mountains along the river, and as far as the eye can see, it is a riot of colors.
