Canton Tower Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Climbed the Guangzhou Tower today! A new experience, yay˃ʍ˂
This time I took the red line with friends
The height of 298m really made my palms sweat haha
Walking on the high wire was so much fun! It was a scary yet interesting new experience
After each challenge, I marveled at my own bravery🥹🥹 It felt very rewarding
My heart was still pounding after the experience
It was really, really, really thrilling~
After finishing the red line, I also did the Sky Walk
Compared to that, this is the most beautiful scenic route, where you can see the beauty of Guangzhou along the way
There's also an installation that can rotate 360° outwards, overlooking the entire Guangzhou CBD
If it's evening, you can also enjoy the sunset
It's so beautiful that it instantly healed my mood
From April 15, 2024, to June 16, 2024 (except May 1 to May 5), Alpha and Super Gorilla are jointly hosting a Red Line Timing Challenge. Visitors can participate in the preliminaries by purchasing a Red Line ticket (in addition to a complete Red Line experience, you will also get a free preliminary timing challenge opportunity), or accumulate Super Gorilla private training hours to exchange for a preliminary competition spot. The top 30 challengers on the leaderboard will be able to participate in the finals held on June 29 for free, and win a joint big gift package. Don't miss out!

Canton Tower charm of Guangzhou 🇨🇳
#chinatrip
Guangzhou is such a stunning city with numerous sights to explore. But nothing quite compares to the breathtaking Guangzhou Tower!
Construction of the tower kicked off in 2005, and it was unveiled in 2010 during the 16th Asian Games 🏙️. Standing tall at an impressive 650m, including the antenna, it ranks as the second tallest tower globally. The view from the top is unparalleled, offering breathtaking vistas for miles around on clear days 🌆.
Inside the tower, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The lower levels (80 to 170m) host a 4D cinema, play hall area, dining spots, cafes, and outdoor gardens 🎥🌳. Midway up the tower lies the awe-inspiring Skywalk, the world's highest and longest open-air staircase 🌟. Starting at 170m and extending another 170m, some floors feature transparent glass (definitely not for the faint-hearted) 🌉. At the top level above the staircase, you'll find a two-story rotating restaurant and upper observation decks, leading to the terrace observation level 🍽️🔭.

Zhuhai is beautiful and good~ But I won't go again
Zhuhai is the seaside city I imagined~
Compared with Xiamen, I prefer its low-key and romantic~
It has the world's largest marine theme park, the most beautiful island in Guangdong, the romantic road for couples that all couples want to go to, and it is only one step away from Macau, so you can go and play along the way. The Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are coming, go to the seaside city with your loved ones~
Zhuhai·Guangdong is very beautiful and good, but I dare not go again (it's a bit expensive💰, I want to buy everything I see~)

📒My Route Analysis
It's best to book your hotel in advance before coming to Zhuhai, especially with the New Year approaching
My route is to stay directly at a hotel near Chimelong Ocean Kingdom
There are quite a few hotels or hotel apartments nearby! Just choose!
Day1⃣️
Arrive in Zhuhai, check into your accommodation and rest for a while, just in time for the afternoon
Directly to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, watch the 7:30 fireworks show
Then you can go to Lijun Pangdu Square for dinner, eat and take night photos
If you want to eat more, you can also go to Central Exchange first
Central Exchange has more to eat, eat and then stroll around Lijun Pangdu
Then you can wash and sleep, ready for the next day's itinerary
Day2⃣️
8:30 Love Tree
🧭Qianhuan Community Youth Football Training Base, it's at this location, look more at the roadside when you're about to arrive, it's the Love Tree!
10:00 Sun and Moon Shell
Keep going towards Wild Fox Island, walk to a lawn is where I took the photo
11:00 Love Post Office
The seaside wind is strong, it's a bit cold, wear a little thicker
12:30 Leshi Cultural District
Take a good look around here, there are many nice little shops, I only went to Zui Xi
14:30 Beishan Courtyard
Beishan can be said to be a blend of fireworks and art! The shops in the small alleys are all good, I went straight to eat the kiln pizza, it's so fragrant when it's freshly baked!
Eat and stroll around in the alley, if you have enough time, you can stay here all day
18:00 Yijian Food Plaza
How can you not eat dim sum and seafood when you come to Zhuhai! I've eaten it several times!
Cheap and delicious, a place where locals go!
22:00 Xiawan Night Market
This night market only opens at ten o'clock in the evening, all kinds of snacks, quite lively.
🚗Transportation
Take a taxi or ride a shared bicycle🚴♀️
Green bubble small🍊renewal, Zhuhai pass ride code, bus only needs 1r
Sightseeing bus ticket 30r/person, 24 hours anytime on and off at the desired attractions

🐋 WHAT AN AMAZING AQUARIUM 🌊
The place was just beyond my expectations. Amazing aquarium, really awesome. Insane roller-coaster and the lights and fireworks show at the end are great. The Ocean Aquarium is one of the largest in the world and I could have spent all day there just watching the majestic whale sharks. There is a cafe that has direct viewing windows into the aquarium, providing the most amazing photo opportunities having a coffee watching rays, sharks and fish. Chimelong Ocean Kingdom has many attractions ranging from aquariums to performances to rollercoasters, which suit a wide variety of ages, making it an ideal destination for a family trip.

Nan'ao Island Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
I really don't regret going to Nan'ao Island this season!
Nan'ao Island is really good for taking pictures
It's winter, it's time to go to some warm islands to renew the summer. Take bus 161k directly from Shantou Railway Station (one bus per hour, grasp the time, we didn't plan well, the time we arrived just left, didn't want to waste time and took a carpool, 30 per person, 50 bargained down, haha really smart)
". Nan'ao Island is quite big and there are many scenic spots. Sisters who are not self-driving are recommended to rent a small electric car. We rented 50 a day and a deposit of 50. The cost performance is super high and the power is very durable. After a whole day of speeding, only two grids are used.
In terms of route, you can follow the navigation around the sea. The more popular lighthouse, bridge, square, lonely tree, and Tropic of Cancer are all on the way.
Because my sisters and I are senior islanders, we didn't take the usual route and took the mountain road in the middle. The view of the sea from the top of the mountain is also unique. We encountered a super photogenic mountain road in the middle. The leaves are dense and the sun is shining. It's great to take pictures. Sisters who have visited the island can hide it.
Pay attention
Pay attention to the sunset time. It's best not to be in the mountains when it's dark. The mountain road is quite dangerous when it's dark, and it's best to get to the beach before sunset. The sunset on Nan'ao Island is really beautiful. It's the kind of beauty that you won't get tired of watching a few times.
About the weather, the perceived temperature is warm, you can wear summer skirts, but when the sea breeze blows over, under the shade of trees and when riding a bike, it's very cold. It is generally recommended to wear early spring and autumn clothes, or summer clothes with a large coat

Shantou's Nanao Island in Summer
It was already my second trip to Nanao Island, an island 20km in front of the city of Shantou in Guangdong province.
🚕 Easiest way is to go there by car, bus or taxi from Shantou center. There is no train station or airport in the island. You have to pay a small toll fee to enter the island. 🏝️
📍My summer island tips;
•Hiking in the forest in the middle
•Visit the (sometimes crowded) beaches
•Seafood! Nanao Island is famous for its seafood farms.
•Staycation: Book a nice hotel and just hang out
Enjoy your stay and the island breeze!

My friends all laughed at me for traveling to Shenzhen, until I arrived here
I always thought Shenzhen was a city only suitable for working

I was deeply romanced by this city of mountains and seas
It's definitely not inferior to any other travel city

Shenzhen Window of the World
This afternoon me, my wife and a couple of friends spent a whole day in Window of the World. It's been 7 years since I live in Shenzhen and I've never been here before and to be honestly I should have came before.
The place Itself isn't that worth for the price. Some miniatures already are old and not well cared but some places to play are quite fun!
What I most liked was the the dancing main presentation that happened at 19:30. That one was amazing and made worth the 220rmb paid at the entrance.
My suggestion is go right after lunch, food there is a bit expensive and not that good, better eat outside and keep the day withsome snacks or fast food. Nearby Nicaragua's waterfall has some hamburger that can help to keep full until leave the park for dinner.

The Window of the World, Shenzhen
#shenzhentrip
The Window of the World in Shenzhen is like a global adventure in miniature. It's a fascinating theme park where you can see scaled-down replicas of famous landmarks from all over the world in one place, from the Statue of Liberty to the Pyramids of Egypt.
The park is particularly enchanting at night when these miniature landmarks are beautifully illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. It's a great spot for evening strolls and taking memorable photos. If you're looking for a unique and visually captivating attraction in Shenzhen, the Window of the World is a must-visit.

My friends thought I had gone abroad, but I am in Guangzhou
Guangzhou, Shamian Island.
It is a sandbar formed by the Pearl River, hence the name Shamian. In the early days, Shamian was an important port in Guangzhou. After a hundred years, more than a dozen countries have set up consulates on Shamian, nine foreign banks, more than forty foreign companies operated on Shamian, and the Guangdong Customs Club, Guangzhou Club and others were established on Shamian. With the changes in modern history, Shamian has become a microcosm of China's modern history and the history of concessions. The European-style buildings on Shamian Island have formed a unique open-air architectural 'museum'.
Surrounded by ancient trees, shaded by green trees, and fragrant with flowers🌸The sun jumps between the leaves, and from time to time you can hear the birds singing🕊Wandering among these colorful ancient buildings🏰Everywhere is beautiful scenery, free and comfortable, lazy and casual.
Every day there are many photography enthusiasts to check in📸Literary and artistic small shops, coffee shops☕️, French restaurants🍽Guangzhou is in a hurry, Shamian is leisurely. Feel the unique Cantonese romance!💕
JAKE EATON
A historical European oasis in Guangzhou
Shamian Island is my favourite place in Guangzhou and it was my safe haven during my 6 months living there, it was an oasis of calm in such a chaotic city. The Island was divided into concessions given to France and the UK in the 19th century and foreigners lived and worked on the island to help support the export of Chinese products. The island is separated from the mainland by a small river and this created a self contained zone that allowed western nations to establish trade missions without ‘being present’ on the mainland. Ultimately America, France, Holland, Italy, Germany, Portugal, japan and the UK had a presence on the island in big stone mansions along the water.
The buildings now house cafes, restaurants and shops and has become a surreal tourist destination, the buildings lining the street were built in the style of their respective western powers so it feels like you could be in Paris, London or Amsterdam. The buildings are grand and imposing as each nation tried to outdo the other with their architectural styles, leaving tree lined boulevards lined with buildings that stand out against the Chinese city that has developed around them.
You can reach the island via the Huangsha metro station and then walking over an overpass, also many bus routes have stops just outside the bridge that links the island to greater Guangzhou.
I’d really recommend this to anyone living in or visiting Guangzhou who is overwhelmed by the sheer scale and pace of the city, I used to love taking a book or my laptop to the Starbucks and just enjoying the peace.
