CYNTHIA CHAVEZ

A hotel stay with my boyfriend in Guangzhou! Loved it so much that I didn't want to check out

1. Transportation The hotel is located in the Tianhe district of Guangzhou, not close to the subway, so it's more convenient to take a taxi or drive there. 2. Hotel Exterior The hotel's exterior design is hexagonal, with the main entrance at the front. There's a small fountain outside, with the lobby to the right of the fountain and the restaurant to the left. 3. Lobby Since it was close to the Spring Festival, the first thing that caught my eye upon entering was a money tree hung with red envelopes, wishing everyone a Happy New Year! There were also fresh flowers around the tree, and the background wall behind it was decorated with red couplets and lanterns to welcome every distinguished guest. To the right of the main entrance is the reception desk, flanked by a seating area and the hotel's shop. In addition to drinks and snacks, the shop also sells local Guangzhou specialties, which might interest some visitors to take home. III. Guest Room I booked a standard room. Since the Diamond card does not participate in upgrades at this garden hotel, I was arranged a mountain view king room, from which part of the Baiyun Mountain range can be seen. The room is a standard king room; to the right of the entrance is the bathroom, and to the left is the wardrobe area, which includes slippers, a safe, but no bathrobe. The king bed is in the center, with a wall painting above it featuring various Cantonese phrases forming iconic Guangzhou buildings, and the city's flower, the kapok, floating above. There's a bedside table on each side of the bed, and a small sofa by the window on the left. Opposite the bed is the TV, next to which is a desk with an electric kettle, tea bags, coffee packets, drinking water, etc. Below the desk is a cabinet with a mini-bar fridge, which is empty. 3. Bathroom To the right of the entrance is the bathroom, which is quite small. To the right of the door is the washstand with a single basin design, a mirror above it, and toiletries to the right, the same as in regular Hiltons. Then, directly opposite is the toilet, not in a separate room, and to the right is the shower room, stocked with Hilton's standard Crabtree & Evelyn products. That's the bathroom. IV. Facilities and Services The service is quite good; even the cleaning ladies in the garden say hello, which is not always the case in some better hotels. V. Restaurant I only experienced breakfast, which, in addition to the usual variety, included local specialties like shrimp dumplings, char siu bao, and beef brisket noodles, so I won't go into detail here. I'll just show you some photos. VI. Overall Evaluation As the first Hilton Garden Inn in the Guangzhou area, the Hilton Garden Inn Guangzhou Tianhe is well-located near the Yuexiu old town and Tianhe district. The price, including tax, ranges from 300 to 400 yuan, depending on the time. The service is okay, but the rooms feel a bit cramped, so the guest room experience is just average. I'm not sure about the other rooms; this is just my personal feeling. Alright, that's the end of this experience report.
