1. St. Joseph Cathedral The church was built in the 19th century when the French first occupied Vietnam. The church was modeled after Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. We stayed here for 2 nights and were very satisfied. The room is beautiful, spacious, clean and not far from other tourist attractions. Hoan Kiem Lake or Hoan Kiem Lake is considered a gem. In the 15th century, the Chinese of the Ming Dynasty invaded Vietnam. Emperor Le Lei of the Le Dynasty successfully drove them out with his sacred sword. He dreamed that a giant turtle would emerge from the water and return the sword to the lake.
