Wuzhen in the North, not the famous Jiangnan, is a place of its own charm

Mingshui Ancient City is really quite nice! I didn't have high expectations because it's a newly built tourist area, but after visiting, I feel it's really quite good! 🩷 Pros: Parking is very convenient, with a huge parking lot. Due to the festival, there are many activities in the scenic area, with continuous performances from the moment you enter... so you don't have to worry about missing out on a lot. Li Qingzhao's hometown is here, and many performances and games are designed around the Song Dynasty theme, with performers' costumes (Song-style Hanfu, makeup, and hairstyles) being very authentic. The evening performances are also rich and colorful, and immersive (you can even feel the heat when they breathe fire...). The drone show is also quite impressive. The architecture in the scenic area is really beautiful for taking photos. There are 711 stores in both the tourist center and the scenic area – shopping is very cheap and convenient. You can walk from the ancient city scenic area to the original Baimei Springs scenic area, where you can see Li Qingzhao's residence, Moquan, and more. 🤍 A few cons: There are still many areas under construction that are not open, making it seem a bit rundown. If you want an unobstructed view of the drone show, make sure to go to the main road and main building; otherwise, the view may be blocked by buildings. If you don't mind the distance, that direction also offers a clearer view of the formations. Overall, it's worth a visit!
