During the Japanese colonial period, it was a warehouse for storing sugar and transporting exports but afterwards, it was damaged by U.S. bombings. After the reconstruction in 1962, it then played an important role in converting railways to sea transportation as well as a transportation hub for the development of salt industry. . Until 2018, various Taiwanese creative brands, local catering and delicacies have been brought into the area to successfully revitalise the old warehouse and create a waterfront space that allows a lot of youth spend time in!!
