Serene Nunnery stupa in Hasantar, Kathmandu

#fallingforfall Hasantar Nunnery is one of the oldest Buddhist nunnery in Kathmandu located in the hills around Kalanki and overlooking the valley. The nunnery is home to many Buddhist nuns from all age groups. Getting There - It’s difficult to reach here with public transportation. You can either drive or take a taxi or motorbike ride to this place. Attractions - The nunnery looks massive and well maintained with lovely view of the valley. You can interact with the nuns as well as volunteer here. Hotels - Unfortunately there are no hotels nearby but you can stay in the Kathmandu city and take ride until here. There are no options for eating nearby neither can you find options for shopping so this visit should be with limited expectations for tourist activities. You can take another route to Switzerland Park where you will be able to find small food stalls instead.
