Keswick, A Perfect Getaway Location

Keswick is located in The Lake District, United Kingdom offering an insight into English architecture alongside locally owned businesses that offer a great variety of food and souvenirs alongside businesses offering a ride on the lake. The surrounding areas offer amazing views alongside various hiking route options, when visiting Keswick it is a good idea to take a walk around the lake and have some food. Keswick is a great quiet getaway and I would recommend it to anyone coming or from the United Kingdom looking to have a weekend away from the busy city life. The surrounding mountains are the highlight as Keswick sits as a perfect central hub. #keswick #lakedistrict #england #englandtravel

Around 14 minutes walk from the carpark at wetherspoon, you will reach the facility that one can enjoy a lake cruise around Derwent water, row a boat around the water with a fee, you also can buy duck food to feed the duck on the shore. They have a playland for children when they can enjoy remote control boats on the artificial pond, master their golf skill to become future tiger wood, garden for people lying down and etc. Keswick is also a place you can stay and travel around the lake district with public buses. Castlerigg Stone Circle

Castlerigg stone circle is 3 kilometers 37 minutes from Keswick by walking or you can drive there limited free parking on the road side. It is open 24 hours with no entrance fee. Castlerigg was built 4000 years ago by prehistoric farming communities for providing a setting for rituals or ceremonial activities, social exchanges and the movements of goods. The rectangle stone setting within the circle known as sanctuary, is likely to be a later addition to focus attention upon one part of the circle. Sheep is around the site, so there is a stone wall to surround it. Children can play with the sheep and climbing on the stone.
