Memories of Moscow

Over the past years I have visited Moscow many times and, particulary in summer, enjoyed the city, the beautiful metro stations, the red square and the friendly people. At the edge of Europe it does have many European features and especially during the warm summer months a pleasure to visit. It reminded me much more of Paris than an eastern European country. On day trips to the edge of the city there are markets with plenty of fresh berries and other food prepared by the local farmers. In town you can stroll around the red square and marvel the beauty of the buildings. Or just take the metro a few stops get out at a random place and walk around. You are sure to find a place to have a coffee with one of their delicious cakes or lunch in the many restaurants.
