There is life beyond beaches at Phu Quoc

We are a couple, 55 and 47, 4 kids and married for long. Yes its nice to escape the chinese winter with -20° for sun and ocean to calm down. But its boring just to sit in one place for two weeks. So we always try to dive into culture and customs of the country we visit. Asia us challenging for me, for several reasons but mainly the food. I dont do sea food, fish or whatever swims or touched water. It's a childhood trauma. Can't have it. But specialy on Phu Quoc there is seafood everywhere. But also a variety of local dishes that i loved. And make a long story short, Phu Quoc is also known for pepper. Red, white, green and black. On a scooter trip without a final destination we noticed a small pepper farm next to the road north of Island . Nothing fancy but really nicely organized. 20 minute tour, a cold drink and trying different peppers and sauces for a small amount of 69 k which is around 3 Euro i assume. We had a nice time and a cute young woman that couldnt stop laughing at my husband showed us around. She gave us different leaf to smell and he thought he is supposed to eat it. So he did and she could not stop him because she was laughing so hard. Wasn't able to explain. There is more then this farn. So if you see one offering shops or a tour, give it a go. It's worth the time.
