The most beautiful sunrise over Xishan

Located at the southeastern end of Xishan Island, Shigong Mountain is surrounded by water on three sides and backed by a range of hills on the other. The mountain is lush with verdant cypresses, resembling a green snail nestled in the water, like a piece of jade floating on the lake. The village by the water reflects the beautiful scenery, which is naturally formed. In the past, there were two peculiar rocks by the water at the foot of the mountain, shaped like an old man and an old woman, known as Shigong (Stone Grandfather) and Shipo (Stone Grandmother), hence the name Shigong Mountain. In terms of height, Shigong Mountain is insignificant, only 49.8 meters tall, barely considered a hill; in terms of terrain, Shigong Mountain is also unremarkable, not known for being steep or majestic. However, it attracts countless visitors from ancient times to the present, from home and abroad, with its specific geographical location and unique scenery.
