Toronto - a diverse and iconic cityscape πŸ™οΈ

As the biggest city in Canada and the capital of Ontario, Toronto is know for its diverse culture, iconic skyline and vibrant arts scene. No visit to Canada is complete without a stop off in Toronto. Whether it’s several days or just one day, you won’t be bored in this city. Check out my suggestions below! 1️⃣ Centre Island - This shouldn’t be missed and it’s so close to downtown Toronto. It’s can be reached by a regular ferry from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal for $8. On the island you’ll find beaches and theme park but the best part is the spectacular views of the Toronto skyline πŸ™οΈ Its a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city so bring a picnic and soak up the nature! 2️⃣ TV filming locations - Toronto is frequently used for movies and TV shows. It’s cheaper to film in Canada and it’s easy to dress up like an American City. One place I enjoyed seeing was the building used in Canadian show β€œKim’s Convenience”. It can be found near Moss Park in the east of the city. Why not do a filming location hunt during your stay? πŸŽ₯ 3️⃣ Trams and architecture - Toronto is a very pretty city dotted with towering skyscrapers and quaint and colorful houses. 🏠 Something I really enjoyed doing was walking around the different neighborhoods snapping the architecture just as the tram passed by, making for an iconic Toronto shot. Spadina Avenue and Dundas Street are great for this! 🚊 Also be sure to find the Gooderham building near Union Station for that iconic Toronto shot. 4️⃣ Kensington Market - A very hipster area of Toronto which makes for great exploration. Located just off Spadina Avenue, it’s a busy area full of shops, restaurants, and cafes. The streets are colorful and lively and full of culture! I decided to find my accommodation in this area as I loved it so much! 🏨 5️⃣ Graffiti - Toronto is a colorful city and this is, in part, thanks to the graffiti art found all over the city. You can find it everywhere but check out Graffiti Alley just off Spadina Avenue for some concentrated art! These are just some of the things you can add to your Toronto itinerary but the city offers so much more! It’s diverse in terms of activities, food, and people. If you’re visiting for longer, why not spend a day visiting the nearby Niagara Falls? πŸ’§ Whatever your traveling style is, Toronto has something for you! Be sure to check the city out and let me know in the comments what you think πŸ’ #freehotelstay #instatravel #canada #travel #travelinspiration #photography #exploresgtogether #explore #city #cityscapes #citywalk #architecture
