A purple temple with beautiful toilet

#timetotravel Wat Phra That Doi Wao is not far from the Northernmost part of Thailand. The temple is in Mae Sai, next to the border with Myanmar. History wrote that the ruler of Naga Phan Yonok, Phrachao Wao, formed this temple where one of the Buddha’s hairs relics in 179 BCE was kept. Here you will see a statue of King Naresuan and statue of a large black scorpion too. We visited in early September 2023 and they are building the Northernmost Skywalk in Siam for visitors to view both Thai and Myanmar sides, adding the excitement to the experience. Surprisingly the toilet in this temple is very clean, new, modern and beautiful like in a high end hotel. The temple is up on a hill and there are many steps to walk up after you cross a market. Local people can bring you up on back of motorcycle for 20 Baht. You can see this temple on the left before you reach the border gate to Myanmar.
