Glenelg Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Nice weather for the Beach in SA
#vianasjourney
It’s a good weather to visit the beach today. Took a free tram to Glenelg Beach from Stamford Plaza. I said free because according to the staff at the station, they won’t charge you if you come back in less than 2 hours. The area doesn’t look like how it used to be. Last time there were many colourful tents on the beach side and there’s also a ferris wheels which looks amazingly beautiful during sunset. I’ve asked a local and she said it was there in summer and they removed it in winter. Guess I better come during summer next time. But still, it’s a nice visit, also it’s free ride.
👙Beachy Time 🏖️🇦🇺
Glenelg Beach is a MUST visit in ADL. it’s a perfect get away from the city.
it’s located 30-40 min tram ride away from the city.
Now that it’s summer in the Aus it would be perfect to visit the beach and have a picnic 🧺 or swim in the ocean 🦈
The beach does get quite busy during the day so preferably going there in the afternoon closer to the evening would be a better idea if you wouldn’t want to burn your skin.
There’s also a Lott of nice restaurants and cafes that are worth visiting.
🌊👙☀️⛱️🏖️🏝️🩳🐚🩱

Adelaide’s Golden Beach (Glenelg Beach)
Glenelg is the most popular and most family -friendly metropolitan beach in Adelaide. It’s also the easiest to access. Just hop on the tram from the city and get off at Moseley Square, just metres away from the water at Glenelg Beach.
It is a lovely beach that will shine in sunset that you never seen before.
Jetty Road is a bustling mix of quality cafés, clothing boutiques and restaurants. End your day in luxury at the plush Stamford Grand hotel or Seawall apartments, overlooking the beautiful Glenelg beach.

Trip to Adelaide 🇦🇺
It was a trip to Adelaide, South Australia.
When we first arrived, we were exploring the City Centre
We visited Art Gallery of South Australia, which was established in 1881, this gallery houses one of Australia’s most distinguished art collections.

📍North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
We also visited Adelaide Botanic Garden which was established in 1855, the garden showcases native and exotic plants, including the Bicentennial Conservatory. Definitely worth to visit! It was so beautiful and we really enjoy working around 💯

We then visited Africola for dinner. We ordered the peri-peri chicken and the vegetarian dishes like charred broccoli 🥦 Surprisingly, all the dishes that we ordered were so delicious and we really enjoyed. Not only the food, the services and vibes were amazing as well ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

📍4 East Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
We also went to the Glenelg Beach which was founded in 1836, Glenelg is Adelaide’s most popular beachside suburb with historical sites like the Glenelg Town Hall.
The view was amazing but we managed to take some good pictures.
We also visited Glenelg to Adelaide Tram Ride. It is operational since 1873, offers a scenic route between the beach and the city.
We also tried the most famous restaurant, Press* Food & Wine. We ordered lamb shoulder and the raw seafood dishes. They were all very delicious and the price was considered average for the quality and portion of food we ate 😂

Last but not least, we went to Adelaide Central Market. It started its operation since 1869, this market is a hub for fresh produce and gourmet food. I always love to visit central market as this is the place we get to try all kinds of local foods! Definitely worth to visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Instagram worthy visit 📸
Place - Art Gallery of South Australia 🎭
Getting there - really easy to get there it’s in the city so it can be easily accessed by trams that are free, busses, walking and car/taxies. 🚗
The experience - The gallery is very spacious and not too crowded and peaceful. it’s a very beautiful place to visit and just walk around to look at different paintings 🖼️
Uniqueness - I find it really nice that the gallery changed once in a while with the new exhibitions and paintings which makes it more interesting to visit 🚶♀️
ALSO it’s definitely a MUST for cute insta pictures🤳
