Safari Eyes
African safari! It's not just about the Great Migration, the flamingo flocks in May are stunningly beautiful
💖Why do I strongly recommend going to Tanzania in May? Less people, more animals, and it's cheaper, but I won't mention all that! The focus is on the sea of flowers and flamingos during this season, which really touches my heart! 💖
1️⃣Lake Manyara🌊 | Flamingos & Tree-climbing Lions🦁
Home to over 400 species of birds🦜, the flamingos are the most famous here! When the flamingos turn both the lake surface and the sky pink, it's unbelievably beautiful! In addition, there are elephants, hippos, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, baboons, mongooses, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and warthogs. Another highlight that can't be seen elsewhere is the tree-climbing lions, which other lions can't do! 😲
2️⃣Ngorongoro Crater🌋 | African Big Five beneath a Blanket of Flowers🐆
In May, the flowers here bloom competitively🌼, with golden wild daisies, purple lavender, and white lilies... spreading out in large swathes, covering the entire crater like a fairyland🧚♂️. Elephants, lions, zebras, ostriches, and rhinos walk through the sea of flowers, and the Big Five become gentle🤗. Riding in a safari vehicle through it is romantically intoxicating😍!
3️⃣Serengeti🌍 | 99% of African Animals Seen in One Go🐘
Unlike Kenya's July to September, in Tanzania, the coveted river crossing scene can be witnessed in the Serengeti from May to November🤩. Also, it is one of the best areas to watch cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles, and elephants🐆, plus there are many rare plants, such as the baobab trees🌳.
4️⃣Zanzibar Island🏝️ | A Beach Resort Not Inferior to the Maldives🏝️
Just an hour's flight from Nairobi✈️! The island is truly serene with beautiful scenery, and the beaches and sea are on par with those in the Maldives🏝️. At the northern tip of the island, Nungwi Beach offers great snorkeling experiences🤿; to the south, you can go out to sea to watch dolphins🐬, and to the west, there is the more pristine Jambiani Beach🏖️.

A bird-watching paradise in the Manila Lake National Park day trip
to Arusha in northern Tanzania, the first stop is Lake Manyara National Park. Located west of Arusha, it is a jewel that extends 50 kilometers along the cliff bottom of the Great Rift Valley, 600 meters deep.
ostrich paradise
Mayala Lake is known as the Bird Paradise and lives with nearly 400 species of birds. Bird lovers and photographers must not miss it!
Among them, the most characteristic birds are the flamingos in groups on the lake. Most of them choose to inhabit the salt lakes in the warm tropical waters, standing on the shallows with shrimps and algae. food. The abundance of food in Lake Manyara has allowed a large number of flamingos to gather here for temporary food.
Although the route of our car is far from the lake, I can see countless flamingos in the distance to render the lakeside into a spectacular pink scene. Unfortunately, the technology is limited, and the beauty of half of the real scene cannot be captured (P2).
The most lovely place
Mayala Lake is naturally alkaline, which makes it a livable place for hippos. In the Lake Manyara National Park, we can stand on the observation deck and observe the hippo at close range.
I was told by the guide that the hippo has been soaked in the water not because it is lazy, but because their skin is actually thin, if it is exposed to the sun, it will crack, but cracked. The skin will cause infection. Because of this, the hippo will soak in the water to eat water plants during the day. When the sun goes down, it will graze on the land and develop a regular amphibious habit.
Along the way, we met a lot of crickets and buffaloes. When we first caught up with the elephants, we were also excited to take a burst. Here, you can really get close to nature and feel the place here. Harmony and beauty, it is no wonder that Hemingway called it "the most lovely place in Africa".
Recommended accommodation
The surrounding areas of Lake Manyara include the Serengeti Prairie and the Ngorong Crater Plateau.
If you want to stay overnight, continue to visit the next day, remember to look for accommodation outside the park, there are still a lot of special hotels and hotels to choose from, the choice of accommodation in the park is rare and extremely expensive!
